Valium 10mg is a prescription medication used to treat anxiety disorders and seizures. It belongs to a class of medications called benzodiazepines which act on the brain and nervous system to produce a calming effect. Valium 10mg is available as an oral tablet, an oral solution, and an injectable solution. The usual starting dose for anxiety disorder is 2-10mg two to four times daily. Seizure disorder is treated with 5-20mg two to three times daily. Higher doses may be needed for some people. Valium 10mg should not be taken for longer than 4 weeks unless directed by your healthcare provider.
