The Central Database Hub (PADU) passed a significant milestone yesterday, recording over 2 million registrations. Specifically, PADU through its official Facebook page announced 2.07 million Malaysians and permanent residents (PRs) have signed up, though the number is still a far cry from its 29 million target. In the post, PADU said that as of 11.59pm on 29 January, 2.07 million out of 30.08 million individual records in the database have updated their information. The 30.08 million figure is derived from the administration’s existing data, with PADU’s aim being to improve such data with more accurate and up-to-date information from Malaysians.
