Japan will bounce back...they're a strong nation, and have become stronger since Kanto quake 1923, Hiroshima/Nagasaki 1945, Great Hanshin quake (which killed 140,000) in 1995, and this quake-tsunami as well...they will probably be a stronger nation than before after such disasters...
just pray for everyone missing that they turn out alive, and for the continuing quakes to stop... |

Kiryu’s bassist trying to find other j-rock families
Many of you know that due to the devastating Tohoku Pacific Ocean earthquake and tsunami, many families in Japan have been separated.
Visual kei band Kiryu’s bassist Hiyori has blogged that a few members from other bands haven’t been able to reach their families. These people are MoNoLith’s Takafumi and Wizard’s kaito. Wanting to help in the search, Hiyori writes:

When I went to Namie for information, I asked her co-worker Suzuki and they said that her last known whereabouts were on the 11th at 16:30 at Minamisoma city in Odaka district of Fukushima prefecture. Please send this out through Twitter, mixi or anywhere. > My dad, grandmother, little sister and Toki are all safe.>

Loji nuklear ketiga Fukushima meletup

TOKYO: Satu letupan kuat merosakkan loji nuklear ketiga Fukushima, dengan asap tebal dan api menjulang di reaktor berkenaan, sebentar tadi.
Jurucakap Ketua Kabinet Jepun, Yukio Edano, berkata maklumat yang diperoleh dari pegendali reaktor, TEPCO menyebut ia bagaimanapun tidak membawa kesan kebocoran radiasi yang besar.
Agensi Keselamatan Nuklear Jepun berkata, letupan itu di reaktor ketiga di Loji Nuklear 1 Fukushima dipercayai disebabkan tekanan hidrogen.
Letupan hidrogen juga berlaku di reaktor nombor satu di loji sama Sabtu lalu, sehari selepas berlaku gempa kuat dan tsunami di perairan timur laut negara itu.
Pihak berkuasa sehingga kini sudah mengisytiharkan zon pemindahan di kawasan lingkungan 20 kilometer dari loji berkenaan dengan 210,000 orang sudah dikeluarkan. - AFP |
