If you want to visit an hispanic country and you believe you have a good knowledge of spanish, you will probablyl be surprised by strange words that you never learned. These words are slangs (Jergas) and are common words that people use in their daily lives.

First of all you have to consider the region or country where you'll spend your trip. Next you'll need to understand the context of the sentence or phrase that your latin partners speaks for finding a close meaning of those strange words. Finally, If you don't understand anything ask for help... (..."dame una mano"...)

This article isn't a guide for spanish slangs, it's only a brief compilation of some spanish slangs used in Latin America, especially in Peru. If you want to take a "Master" in spanish slangs the best way is to visit a hispanic country, discovering new slangs by taking an inmmersion in a latin society and have fun speaking with latin people without any restrictions and with plenty of freedom. Don't be worried they will teach you.

Now take a look at this brief list of spanish slangs:

Well this a first step of learning some spanish slangs and for understanding a little part of Latin culture. Don't be afraid for using these words, but I don't recommend that you use these for a business meeting, while in a nice restaurant or with citizens for whom you have respect... Perhaps snobs... I mean ( Pitucos = Per )

boleh dikatakan seluruh south america menggunakan spanish including brazil... but national language brazil is portugese...but then of course they have their own version of spanish macam jugak bahasa melayu brunei,singapore,indonesia..kan ker lain sikit bunyi nyer..

instead of guna il/elle for he/she..boleh jugak guna on (ong..bunyi ng tuh tak kuat sgt..very light.... ) bermaksud we...

yup..but for regular verbs...tak complicated....for irregular verbs is very complicated...kalau u perasan sumer tukar...but then utk vous n nous... tak der apa2 changes utk apa2 verbs. as long as verb tuh present tense..yg i kasik kat u all nih sumer present tense tau..blom past n future lagi...

sometimes i rasa macam...umm ada lagi ker org yg interested nak belajar french nih... ekeke macam i jer yg over excited nak share...tq moon n mbhcsf...pour(purkh [for]) ur support! yohana mana arrr??? ou-est-elle?
