Yahoo! users are in for a treat this coming Wednesday, June 29 as reigning pop diva Siti Nurhaliza will chat with them live on Yahoo! Malaysia's 'Question Time' segment.
Siti will spend an hour online with her Yahoo! fans beginning 11 am and will take questions from her legions of followers both in Malaysia and throughout the region who follow her career and acheivements closely.
In a pre-event statement, the iconic diva, who has close to 400,000 Facebook followers, said she was looking forward to engaging Yahoo's users.
"Tiada lagi yang menjarakkan, di Yahoo! Malaysia's ‘Question Time’ kita bertemu untuk didekatkan (There is nothing distancing us now, let's meet on Yahoo! Malaysia's 'Question Time' to become closer)," was the message to her fans.
Yahoo! Malaysia Country Editor S Vicknesan said the chat session was expected to attract an exceptionally large number of participants given Siti's status as Malaysia's top entertainment celebrity.

"Without a doubt Siti is a supernova in the local entertainment scene and this is a unique opportunity for her Yahoo! fans to interact with her on 'Question Time'. We welcome them to chat with Siti responsibly."
He added that questions to Siti could be in either English or Bahasa Malaysia and urged that these be concise, on topic, to the point and relevant to stand a better chance of selection during the live session.
"One valuable tip I would give is to keep your questions short and sweet. It will have a higher chance of getting through," said Vicknesan.
"As during past 'Question Time' segments, We will strive to accommodate as many questions as possible but constraints of time and volume may not allow this. We do hope our users will understand," he said, adding the 'Question Time' chat session was one avenue through which Yahoo! Malaysia's aimed to facilitate a closer rapport between everyday Malaysians and their favourite stars.
English album soon
Siti Nurhaliza Tarudin was born January 11, 1979 and is known throughout the nation as a singer, songwriter, record producer, television presenter and businesswoman. To date, she has garnered more than 200 local as well as international awards which include four MTV Asia awards.
Musically classified as an alto, she's one of Malaysia's best singers winning 11 times the 'Best Vocal Performance in an Album/Single' award during the Anugerah Industri Muzik ceremonies, Malaysia's equivalent of the Grammy Awards.
She rose to fame as a multiple-platinum selling artist, since her winning of the Bintang HMI contest 1995 when she was only 16. To date, she has cut 14 studio albums.
In 2005, Siti held a successful solo concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London after which the British press dubbed her as Asia's Celine Dion due to her powerful vocals and outstanding performances. For this concert, she was backed by the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Indonesian maestro, Erwin Gutawa.
On Oct 24, 2006, she was conferred the Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (DIMP) award which carries the title 'Datuk' from the Sultan of Pahang, Sultan Ahmad Shah in conjunction with his 76th birthday.
In early March this year, the diva announced that she was working on her first full English album which will be produced by her own stepson's production team 'What’s Up Entertainment' with all songs written by Australian singers Christian Alexanda and Bryan Bouro.
The album is to be released this coming June.
