ARSENAL - THE GUNNERS - WELCOME TO SEASON 2016/2017

Nicklas Bendtner came in from the cold to score his first Premier League goal for Arsenal in almost three years in a 2-0 win over Hull City at the Emirates Stadium.

The Danish forward headed home from four yards out from a gorgeous Carl Jenkinson cross to send the home side on their way to a sixth straight home win in the league.

Arsenal were utterly dominant in possession, and it was a minor miracle how Hull escaped to the refuge of the dressing room trailing only 1-0 at half-time with Allan McGregor making a fine stop to nudge a raking Araon Ramsey effort wide on 32 minutes.

Ozil finished off the outclassed visiting side for the night when he dashed onto a lovely Ramsey pass to slip the ball coolly beyond McGregor two minutes into the second period.

Arsenal maintain their four-point lead at the top over London rivals Chelsea, who came from behind to complete a 4-3 win at Sunderland.

MAN OF THE MATCH

Mesut Ozil (Arsenal): Makes football look so simple with him and Ramsey almost telepathic at times in their passing movements. Ozil ran the show from deep making 87 percent of passes, and was unfortunate to finish the match with only one goal.

PLAYER RATINGS

Arsenal: Szczesny 6, Jenkinson 8, Mertesacker 7, Koscielny 7, Monreal 7, Flamini 7, Ramsey 8, Rosicky 7, Cazorla 7, Ozil 8, Bendtner 7..subs: Arteta 6, Wilshere 6, Walcott 6

Hull City: McGregor 6, Figueroa 6, Elmohamady 6, Chester 6, Bruce 6, Meyler 6, Huddlestone 6, Livermore 6, Brady 6, Graham 5, Sagbo 6..subs: Rosenior 6, Boyd 6, Gedo 6

Gerard Deulofeu came off the bench to snatch a point as Everton gave Arsenal a thorough test of their title credentials in a lively 1-1 draw at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal thought they had the points wrapped up when Mesut Ozil tucked home the opener with 10 minutes remaining only for Deulofeu to equalise moments later with a thumping finish past Wojciech Szczesny.

It was a deserved point for Everton who dictated much of the first-half pace with Bryan Oviedo and Seamus Coleman looking particularly threatening down the flanks.

But Arsenal spurred into life five minutes before the break and fashioned a couple of good openings as Olivier Giroud and Aaron Ramsey produced smart stops from Tim Howard.

MAN OF THE MATCH

Laurent Koscielny (Arsenal): Managed the threat of Romelu Lukaku with real maturity and it is no fluke that the Belgian’s main sights of goal were from distance.

PLAYER RATINGS

Arsenal: Szczesny 7, Jenkinson 6, Koscielny 8, Mertesacker 6, Gibbs 6, Arteta 6, Wilshere 6, Ramsey 6, Ozil 7, Cazorla 6, Giroud 6. Subs: Rosicky 6, Walcott 6, Flamini 6.

Everton: Howard 7, Coleman 7, Oviedo 7, Distin 6, Jagielka 7, Barry 7, Barkley 7, Pienaar 6, McCarthy 6, Mirallas 6, Lukaku 6. Subs: Deulofeu 7, Osman 6, Naismith N/A.

Aku asalnya merelakan je pemergian rvp ke man u..umur da ujung2 n belum dpt title..aku cuba paham rvp nakkan kepuasan dlm kerjaya dgn menjulang piala..so aku agak stuju dia pilih man u brbanding man city...season lps dia x celebrate sgt ms score kat emirates..aku rspek lg n rasakn rugi sgt rvp xde dlm arsenal yg ketika tu cazorla sgt bpengaruh...aku bygkn kalaulah rvp ngn arsenal yg skg ni ada ozil.cazorla.wishere.ramsey yg on form..perghhh mmg bes...tp bila dia beria2 celebrate ms game aritu terus aku rs nk ungkit balik dia kat arsenal yg byk injured drpd main..aku igt lg2 kata2 rvp ms awal dulu dia nk jd legend kat arsenal mcm dennis bergkamp..tp skg hampeh...agak2 kalu nk celebrate pn...wenger yg gilap dia..dr winger ke striker..bsinar2..tp mcm xde pape celebrate...mmg patut fan arsenal kat emirates boo dia
