Sekurang-kurangnya 100 orang mati terbunuh oleh serangan udara rejim Assad di Halfaya, Syria. Laporan menyatakan ada rakyat awam terbunuh hanya ketika beratur untuk membeli roti di kedai roti.
Damascus seems to be groping in the dark as it struggles to confront dissent against its rule. The brutal attack on a bakery in Halfaya is a case in point.
At least 100 people are supposed to have been killed under the debris of the building that Syrian jets attacked in venom. The move is a crime against humanity, and speaks of the nervousness with which the regime is overrun. This attack on a pure civilian facility is tantamount to barbarism, and it’s high time the world community takes notice of it and acts against President Bashar Al Assad’s regime.
The western Syrian region of Halfaya, which of late had fallen at the hands of rebel forces, is said to be starving for food items for a long time. The fact that aid agencies delivered stocks of essential commodities, and the same were being distributed when came under attack is a horrendous proposition. Perhaps the security forces saw it as a move on the part of opposition elements to distribute weapons in the guise of ration, and vehemently decided to strike the target. Even if so, it can’t be an admissible proposition. It just furthers the debate that the Assad’s grip on power is failing and the regime is bent upon using indiscriminate force against its own people.
Halfaya attack, like many other such massacres in Homs, Aleppo and elsewhere, are in need of being investigated. This is the time for human rights organisations and aid agencies to blanket across the country and act as apolitical eyes and ears for the world community. This will not only help in reaching the miserable people with the much-desired succour but also keep a tab on the security-driven excesses of the regime and the rebels, alike.
What Syria needs at this moment is a prolonged period of serenity and a break from violence. The strife-torn country’s problems are purely political in substance but unfortunately are being handled from a militaristic point of view. At the same time, allegations that Damascus is firing scud missiles on rebel hideouts, many of them turning out to be civilian refugee camps, is a worrisome equation. Coupled with this is the fear that the regime is amassing chemical stockpiles for a possible use against its opponents. Syria has to be prevented from becoming another Iraq under the Baath rule, and saved from human catastrophe. Russia, the lone ally of the crumbling regime, has sent the right signals by distancing itself from many of the recent policies of the regime. Now is the time for Moscow and the major powers to ask Damascus to fall in line by bringing an end to use of force and paving the way for peaceful transition of power. The world shouldn’t wait to see another civilian installation being bombed.

Masa kat Libya dulu...tak payah nak tunggu sapa pun NATO dah kuat kuasakan kaw larangan terbang. It's like they are having some sort of agreement. Dari dulu lagi aku dh cakap...satgi ada la yg masuk kata ini teori konspirasi la....well it is...tu pasal sebelum Arab Spring dulu Julian Assange Wikileaks dah kena ikat kaki tangan mulut mata bagai. Kalao tak, kita mungkin tau apa jenis planning untuk Syria pulak. Syria ni agak pelik dibandingkan dgn Libya, Sudan, Mesir...padahal modus operandinya sama je...Presiden dok balun rakyat sendiri. Ianya salah apabila ummah suci yahudi bunuh ummah moslems sunni syumul sahaja, kalau islam bunuh islam sunnah rasulullah kot? Sebab itu ummah moslems sunni diam diri sahaja,
Kumpulan 'jihad islam' yg lebih ganas dari hamas di palestin dulu gang dgn hizbullah syiah dan kedua2 kumpulan ini termasuk hamas di bantu persenjataan oleh iran...lepas perang saudara di syria.. syiah bunuh sunni yg kini sudah mencecah berpuluh2 ribu orang hizbullah ajak 'jihad islam' sama2 lanyak sunni di syria dgn full support dari iran..tapi 'jihad islam' taknak sebab mereka sunni lagipun mereka di palestin biasa lancar roket dan lari ke sekolah,masjid dan padang permainan kanak2...oleh sebab itu iran benggang taknak tolong derma roket pada palestin untuk di lancar ke israel.
seperti kata pendita zaba mana2 bangsa di dunia akan menjadi lebih kejam terhadap bangsanya sendiri drpd bangsa asing...syria,iraq,libya,afganistan dll telah membuktikannya.
Disebabkan kecederaan teruk dan kekurangan sedatif maka mereka terpaksa memotong kakinya semasa dia masih hidup.
Ya Allah, selamatkanlah saudara muslim ku di bumi Syria ini .
