lebih kurang terjadi masa kat US dlu..takde sape nak race..team yg takut..

Pet Simonds left Marussia and came in Williams

Sirotkin’s father compares son to Raikkonen
Sergey Sirotkin’s father, who is part of a consortium which secured Sauber’s future, has played down suggestions the teenager is too young to make his Formula 1 debut later this year.
It is reported that, off the back of the ailing Swiss team’s rescue deal in the form of partnerships with various Russian entities, 17-year-old Sirotkin will make practice appearances in 2013, ahead of his full race debut next season.
Sirotkin’s father, Oleg, is at the helm of one of Sauber’s new saviour partners.
“There will be a number of preliminary tests,” he told the Russian website Formula 1news.ru on Monday, “and if these tests prove to be competitive, then we will talk about [Sergey] joining the team.
“If he needs additional development, so there will be an additional preparatory period,” added Oleg Sirotkin.
“But we believe that Sergey, although young, has already gone quite a long way.
“He performed in Formula Abarth, in F3, in Augo GP, and this whole year he is in the Renault World Series. So he went through all the steps.
“We all know that Kimi Raikkonen went to Formula 1 straight from the Renault 2.0, and everything was fine. If a guy has flair and talent, it is not necessary to sit for 10 years in each category,” Sirotkin snr. insisted.
A major hurdle will be obtaining the mandatory FIA super license, which is necessary even for Sirotkin to conduct practice sessions for Sauber.
His manager Nikolay Vetrov said: “The aim must be to make Sergey race-ready for 2014. I’m not talking about mental or physical condition, but of the necessary test kilometres.”
Should the Russian deal ultimately save sinking Sauber, it will be hailed within the paddock. But, as ever in F1, there is scepticism.
Some, including well-placed Russian sources, wonder if the companies are actually flush with money. Others question the link between them and next year’s inaugural Russian Grand Prix.
2014 race host Sochi, for instance, lies in the south, while Sauber’s deal is with the State Fund of Development of North-West Russian Federation.
Team spokesman Hanspeter Brack eased the fears: “Sauber is financially out of the woods.
“The racing operation is also secured through this season. [Team boss Monisha] Kaltenborn informed the staff this morning, which came as a surprise even to them. There was spontaneous applause,” Brack is quoted by Speed Week. (GMM)

Sirotkin: I will be ready in 2014
Sergey Sirotkin knows he still has a lot of to learn in Formula One, but he is confident he will be ready to make the step up next year.
The teenager joined Sauber's development programme last week with the view of promoting him to a race seat in 2014. The deal formed part of a sponsorship agreement that was signed with three Russian companies.
At the age of 17, it is no surprise that Sirotkin's motorsport experience is pretty limited with his current stint in the Formula Renault 3.5 Championship his highest level of competition.
"At the moment, maybe I am a little bit too young, but that doesn't mean I cannot be ready," he is quoted as saying by Autosport.
"I have more than half a year to learn, I am doing a good preparation programme - and I can be ready. I don't think it is going to be a big problem."
The opportunity to compete in Formula One doesn't come around every day, especially if you are still in your teens, and Sirotkin was never going to turn it down.
"The chance to be a Formula 1 driver is not something you can have every day," he said.
"Okay, maybe spending one more year in World Series, I could be more ready, but after one more year maybe there is no chance for me to be a Formula 1 driver.
"I don't think that someone in my place could say 'No, I want to stay in World Series'."

Alonso dismisses Red Bull link
Fernando Alonso says he is happy at Ferrari amid speculation he is considering a switch to Red Bull in 2014.
Alonso's manager held a meeting with Red Bull team principal Christian Horner in Hungary, prompting rumours that Alonso could be in the frame to replace Mark Webber at the end of the season. Having lost out to Sebastian Vettel in the championship over the last three seasons, Alonso was asked if he's committed to Ferrari and happy to remain even if the title continues to elude him.
"I'm very happy," Alonso said. "Of course we need to improve the car if we are going to have chances to win the world championship.
"Always with four weeks with no Formula One it's a very dangerous period for [the media] so hopefully we will have a quiet summer."
Reflecting on his race in Hungary - in which he finished a distant fifth - Alonso said his lack of race pace could be attributed to the updated Pirelli tyres.
"I think we need to look at the details. It's true that with degradation we have been historically good, but we saw on Friday's long runs that we were not very competitive here. We had some doubts, we changed some things today which did not improve the situation too much.
"We have been half-surprised, we need to improve the situation. With the 2013 tyres we had very good degradation similar to Lotus - or more similar to Lotus than the other cars - and with the 2012 tyres it seems we are much closer to the higher degradation cars than Lotus. So it's something we will need to improve."
