Just because you are paranoid it doesn't prove that they are not out to get you. Paranoid, to be sure, was Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad's allegation that the "Jews rule this world by proxy" on October 16. Whether Dr Mahathir himself is paranoid, or whether he adapted his words to the paranoia of his audience makes little difference. Through the twisted prism of paranoia, the facts on the ground do indeed suggest that the Jews rule the world.

Europeans who turn up their noses at Malaysia's leader should recall that just 60 years ago, Europe's official ideology (under Nazi conquest) agreed with Mahathir's claim that the Jews "invented and successfully promoted socialism, communism, human rights and democracy". That is where Mahathir doubtless got the idea in the first place. Not only Adolf Hitler, but the highest circles of the Catholic Church believed that communism was a Jewish plot, as a Swiss priest, Father Martin Rhonheimer, documents in the November 2003 issue of First Things.

Mahathir Muhammad said the international community's indignation was in stark contrast to their reaction when the Prophet Muhammad was called a ''terrorist''.

Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad has hit back against those who condemned him for saying that Jews rule the world but were silent when the Muslim Prophet Muhammad was called a terrorist.

"Are we not allowed to say that we are angry with the Jews? Are the Jews some kind of creature who cannot be condemned in any way?" Mahathir asked when questioned by reporters about the fierce international criticism of his remarks.

He said he knew a lot of Jewish people and was not against them, the official Bernama news agency reported.

"I am against those Jews who kill Muslims and the Jews who support the killers of Muslims," he was quoted as saying.

Mahathir said that he did not care if the Europeans, who were among his major critics, did not like him.

"I have European friends. But when they do something wrong, I am going to tell them that it is wrong.

"You say that you are not under the influence of the Jews and yet when I criticise the Jews, the whole of the European Union wants to condemn me.

"But when somebody condemns the Muslims, calls my Prophet (Muhammad) terrorist and all that, did the European Union say anything? Which shows that they are under the thumb of the Jews."

US Christian fundamentalist preacher Jerry Falwell called Muhammad a "terrorist" in a television interview in September last year, sparking outrage in the Muslim world.

More recently, a United States general has been under fire for casting the war on terrorism as a Christian struggle against Satan, but retains his post as deputy undersecretary of defence for intelligence.

Lieutenant General William Boykin recalled in a speech how a top lieutenant of Somali warlord Mohammed Farah Aidid, Osman Otto, boasted on CNN he would never be caught because Allah would protect him.

"Well, you know what?" Boykin was quoted as saying. "I knew that my God was bigger than his. I knew that my God was a real God and his was an idol."

Mahathir regularly points to such utterances as proof of double standards applied in western countries.

Asked why some Muslim leaders did not openly express support over his remarks about Jews, Mahathir said that possibly they were afraid that action would be taken against them.

"They are much weaker than we are. They may have more money but they are still dependent upon the Europeans.

Even though thru hadiths we get the information that "prophet" Muhammad did terrorise the Jews.

No leaders dare speak the truth openly when it comes to Islam. No Prime Minister or President of any non-muslim nation dare offend the muslims. Their behaviours are civilised and politically-correct... unlike the muslim leaders.

Are you denying or unaware that the racist Dr.M is of Indian origin?
Mamaks( common term used for Indian muslim) in Malaysia are prospering while other Indian are discriminated... specially the Chinese.  Even he himself had admitted to this.

Me calling Dr.M a ******* ( his forgotten Clan name from India), which does him no harm, unlike his statements which incites hate against the Jews. Giving speech as a leader, calling the Jew as the enermy of Islam and junk. Telling the muslims not to attack the Jew by useless means(i.e suicide boms) but to get rid of the 6million Jews by other means.

I had some respect for the man until he showed his true colour. . He says he is retiring, we will wait see, he already gave a huge problem to Badawi.

Yeah Dr.M did many stuff, some good some bad. I support many dicision made by him but not the one he made at the OIC meeting.

He displayed to the world how paranoid one can get... The problem with the muslim world is the muslim leaders themselves.. not the Jews. And thats the fact that you people can't see.

i beg to differ. if you listened to his complete oic speech, then you know that this is his best speech. he called to all muslims not to fight the jews by means that we are doing now: i.e. suicide bombings, weapons, wars. he asked muslims to use their brain intelligently on how to outsmart the jew govt. who actually, in truth 'rule' the world. there is nothing wrong in that. misinterpretation might arise, but i guess that's the risk he has to take to 'wake up' the muslims.

he is not infallible, but at least he has what we called gut, which other pm, presidents, i.e. goh chok tong lacks!

again it is all depends on individual interpretation. he did mention about european killing 6 million of jew, and he mention that the left of them could become what they become now. for me, it ignites me to think on how to oevrcome jews not by sacrificing the young ones by suicide bombing, but by standing together and fight for your right, intelligently. if jews, even in a small number could be what they are now, a superpower of the wotld who control world by proxy, why can't the muslims be on the same level as them? he's not talking about killing jews, but invite muslims to change their attitude, perspective, and be on the same bench as jews, as muslims now are treated as underdogs.
