JOVEN kicks off 30th Year Anniversary celebration with ‘Showering You with Love’ Social Outreach Programme


Seeks the help from public to help find homes in need of instant water heaters

KUALA LUMPUR, 20th May, 2013 – If you know of charitable homes in dire need of instant water heaters, this is a chance for you to make a difference to the lives of the destitute and the less privileged!

Joven, one of the pioneers in manufacturing Electric Water Heaters in Malaysia has today kicked off their 30th Year Anniversary celebration with a Social Outreach Programme themed “Showering You with Love” with the objective of giving away instant water heaters worth up to RM30,000 to the less fortunate. Mr James Tan, Managing Director of Joven said, “We are grateful to the public and citizens of Malaysia for the support they have given us throughout the 30 years of our establishment. As we have grown, we have not forgotten about our humble beginnings where the community has contributed to the success of our company. Thus, in conjunction with our 30th Year Anniversary, we want to do something different to reciprocate the kindness the community has shown to us by giving back to the society.

“This year, we want to reach out socially to those in need. Hence, we are seeking the help of the public to help us find homes which are in need of instant water heaters. This programme reaches out to homes throughout the Peninsular Malaysia from Perlis to Johor.” According to the “Showering You with Love” Programme, the public can play their part by keeping a look out of homes, be it children’s home, old folk’s home or homes for the disabled and destitute, which are in need of instant water heaters.

They can then nominate the homes by downloading the nomination form at www.joven.com.my and if possible to attach an image of the homes when submitting the forms. They can then email their nominations to caring4u@joven.com.my.

In the form, they will also need to share their compelling story on why they think the homes are in need of the water heaters in not less than 100 words. The senior management of Joven will then conduct a feasibility study of installation to ensure safety measures are in place before installing the water heaters. “This Social Outreach Programme is undoubtedly a huge encouragement for us at Joven to develop more engaging programmes to shower our love to the less fortunate and the destitute.“

“In the future, just as we are dedicated to creating durable, technologically innovative and trendy products for our consumers, we are equally dedicated to ensure the less fortunate and the destitute are given the best care and comfort in their homes. Once the water heaters are installed, the occupants can then enjoy safe and comfortable warm showers,” said Tan.

The “Showering You with Love” Social Outreach Programme will begin from 20th May, 2013 and ends on 15th July 2013. All nominations received will be assessed and reviewed by the senior management of Joven and selected homes will be notified within a month of the closing date.
