Child Bites Into Fried Paper Towels at KFC

Finger lickin’ bad!

A mummy in Newcastle, England was mortified when her stepson bit into a deep-friend blue paper towel last week.

Kyrstal Henderson, 29, and 7-year-old Oliver Hallan purchased takeout from a Killingsworth KFC. At home, little Oliver took a bite out of what he assumed was chicken, but recoiled in confused disgust seconds later.

“He pulled it out of his mouth and when he did, it pulled away the batter – you could see a rolled up paper towel inside,” Hendersen said.
Henderson said she would rather have had her stepson bite into rotten chicken than a paper towel. (lbh kurang je thp jijik nye)

“If it was bad chicken they might have just had a bad batch or something,” she said. “But the blue roll could have been used for anything – it could have bleach or disinfectant on it… it could be infected with HIV … Had someone wiped their hands on it, had it been used to wipe the floor? Wipe up feces? Blood?” (or @ss?...aku tambah)

KFC investigated the incident and sent an apology email, explaining: “the blue tissue has most likely originated from a tissue roll used for KFC hygiene purposes.(xtau la dh berapa bnyk germs kt situ) The store assumes it must have fallen unseen into the breading lug that is under the sieve and was not noticed by the cook.”

A spokesperson for KFC released a public statement:

We’re very, very sorry for Ms Henderson’s experience and apologized to her immediately, as well as giving her a refund at the time of the incident. We take food quality and hygiene very seriously and unfortunately, on this extremely rare occasion our restaurant failed, epically failed,We have retrained staff on our stringent food preparation procedures at this store to ensure that we never serve fried blue paper towels again.

The company also offered Henderson a free meal and two KFC T-shirts. The company said they will also pay for an HIV test for Oliver to quiet his mother’s fears.

penah makan kat cik atan fish market.. dalam salad ado cacing meliuk lentuk manja.. terus potong selera, walopon dapat makan free n dapat tapau bawwak balik lg tuh

. masa nak kluar siap pelayans cakap 'jangan serik datang lagi ya'. aku senyum sumbing, tp dalam hati 'jangan haraplah aku jejakkan kaki kat sini lg'
