Ramai cedera dalam letupan bom tangan di Bukit Bintang

14 injured in explosion at Jalan Bukit Bintang

KUALA LUMPUR: Police are scrutinising the background of all victims injured in an explosion to determine the motive for the grenade attack. They believe the victims, mostly those who were customers of a pub nearby, could shed some light into the incident that occurred about 4.30am this morning. Two grenades were used but only one exploded while the other was retrieved from under a car nearby.It is learnt that witnesses saw something was hurled from the second storey of the complex before the explosion.Apart from the 14 victims, several cars were also damaged. A loud explosion in front of Sun Complex, Jalan Bukit Bintang early this morning jolted occupants and guests. Initial report claimed there were at least 10 injured and scores of policemen and officers are seen in front of the complex. - NST

Seorang parah, 14 cedera letupan di Bukit Bintang

KUALA LUMPUR: Seorang parah dan 14 lagi dilaporkan cedera dalam kejadian letupan di sebuah kompleks di Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur pada kira-kira jam 4.30 pagi tadi.

Setakat ini, Ketua Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah Ibu Pejabat Polis Kontinjen Kuala Lumpur, Senior Asisten Komisioner Gan Kong Meng mengesahkan letupan di Jalan Bintang, Bukit Bintang itu.

Sementara itu, empat kenderaan mewah mengalami kerosakan akibat terkena serpihan letupan terbabit.
