kat kalender deepavali tulis hari khamis 23 October, tapi ditukar ke hari Rabu 22 october...

apa sebab ar?

According to Johor state deputy secretary Norizan Kulob, he said that the decision to change the public holiday for Deepavali was notified by the Prime Minister’s Office through two letters. “The letter from the Federal Government about the changing of dates for Deepavali was received on Nov 20 last year and the state government only endorse it on Feb 23 this year.

“The Johor Government could only change the dates for state level public holidays and not Federal holidays such as Thaipusam, Chinese New Year, or Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday,” he said when contacted here recently.

Many was unsure of the reason the change in dates.

Meanwhile state MIC chief Datuk S. Balakrishnan expressed shocked over the matter and urged the Federal Government to reconsider the changing of the date.

“Deepavali celebration followed the Tamil calendar where Hindus around the world, not only Malaysians celebrate this auspicious day.

“Even if the Federal Government wants to change the public holiday, they should refer to the Malaysia Hindu Sangam first,” he said adding that the matter would also be brought to the party’s Central Working Committee later this month.

Penganut Hindu rai Deepavali pada 22 Oktober

KUALA LUMPUR: Bahagian Kabinet, Perlembagaan Dan Perhubungan antara Kerajaan di Jabatan Perdana Menteri mengumumkan penukaran tarikh sambutan Hari Deepavali yang akan disambut oleh penganut Hindu bertukar dari 23 Oktober ke 22 Oktober.

Kerajaan Persekutuan menerusi warta kerajaan yang bertarikh 6 December 2013 mengumumkan penukaran tarikh itu dibuat oleh Sri Maha Mariamman Temple Dhevasthanam berdasarkan kiraan kalendar Hindu ‘panjangam’.

Setiausaha kuil Itu menyatakan penukaran tarikh Deepavali tahun ini diputuskan selepas mendapat nasihat daripada pelbagai badan agama di India memandangkan kalendar Hindu berubah mengikut pergerakan planet.

Penganut Hindu menyambut Deepavali pada ‘Saturthasi Thidi’ iaitu hari ke-14 hari bulan ‘Iypasi’.

Sambutan Perayaan Deepavali bermula pada terbit fajar 22 Oktober dan berakhir pada terbit fajar keesokan harinya.
