Iggy Azalea has updated fans on Twitter regarding her former lover Hefe Wine's divorce filing.
The rapper was just 17 when she first met Maurice Williams (aka Hefe Wine) upon landing in the US - but Williams is now claiming to have had a common law marriage with the Fancy star despite the fact that he was already married.
The 24-year-old Australian rapper tweeted on Friday a series of updates regarding the divorce filing after MailOnline revealed shocking new details about Williams on Thursday.

Williams, MailOnline reported is currently being slapped with assault charges by his latest ex girlfriend 28-year-old Annette Buitrago, the mother of his three-year-old son.
Iggy commented on the situation in a series of tweets, beginning with an admission that she has feared for her safety whenever passing through Williams' home state of Texas, following their split.
'I've avoided Texas entirely for the last 5 years,' Iggy wrote. 'When I do go now I have a police escort & and two armed bodyguards, evidently for good reason.'

Then referencing Buitrago's court case, she continued: 'Why is her truth being overlooked in favor of sensationalism? It makes me so sad & my heart goes out to Annette Buitrago.'
Iggy also cited some details from the assault case, writing, 'He stalked, headbutted and tried to strangle her in January after their 7 year relationship ended.'
Adding: 'The thing that I find awfully sad about this whole story is that the mother of this man's 3 year old child is in court right now...'

She then updated her fans about Williams' divorce filing against her: 'Ive settled 2 old contracts privately. Both got a very fair sums & went on about their lives.
'Real cases are handled in court, not the press. My lawyer agreed to be served "divorce" papers but they want to hire someone to serve me in person, probably so it can be another TMZ story.'
'Unfortunately to file a common law "divorce" all you need is three of your friends to sign a statement swearing the persons story is true,' she added.

Also on Friday, Iggy revealed that fans will soon be able to hear her brand new single Beg For It: 'Next saturday you guys will all hear beg for it from 6am onwards on the radio. ahhhhhhhhhhhhh.'
Meanwhile, Iggy claims the former lover suing her for divorce was actually MARRIED during the time they were together, MailOnline has learned.
