Buddha's Basic Teaching

The Buddha told us not to focus on anything that will change. Things that will change create "sufferings" so that the suffering will be eliminated if one can focus on something that will never change. In order to focus, one must understand the causes of sufferings and the right ways of practice. "Doing right things in one's everyday life" to keep focusing on the nothingness or selflessness is the key to be fully enlightened.

There is NOTHING in this World which does not change. EVERYTHING CHANGES OVER TIME.
In that context, what is the Buddha asked your to focus on? Your breathe changes, your body changes, your mind changes, the ground you walk on changes, trees, sky, water, people, everything changes. What is there not to focus on? |
