5 reasons to watch masha in spore
in person..on tv or online
1) She created one of the most memorable moments in WTA Finals history.
Playing the WTA Finals for the first time in her career as a 17-year-old in 2004, Sharapova went all the way to the title, defeating Serena Williams in the final. And she beat the WTA legend in emphatic fashion, too - she won six games in a row from 4-0 down in the third set to win, 4-6, 6-2, 6-4

2) That wasn't the only time she's wowed the crowds at the WTA Finals.
Not only did Sharapova win the WTA Finals in 2004, she's also been to the finals two more times, in Madrid in 2007 (falling to Justine Henin) and in Istanbul in 2012 (falling to Serena Williams). At three hours and 25 minutes, that 2007 final in Madrid was the longest final in the tournament's history - Sharapova ended up falling to Henin, 5-7, 7-5, 6-3, but she won over the hearts of the Spanish fans. |

3) She's been ranked No.2 more than anyone else this year.
While No.1 has been locked in all season, Sharapova has been ranked No.2 - higher than anyone else - more than anyone on the tour this year. She's held if for 25 weeks of the 2015 season so far - the only other two players to hold No.2 this season are Simona Halep (11 weeks) and Petra Kvitova (5 weeks). |

4) She's coming in fresh.
Though it's due to a series of injuries - a leg injury in the summer and a forearm injury in the fall - Sharapova comes to Singapore having played just one match since Wimbledon. But with this being such a huge event, and with Fed Cup coming up as well, Sharapova's making sure she's ready.
"Obviously Singapore and Fed Cup are a big priority," the Russian said after playing in Wuhan.
"I don't know how long it will take to recover, but I'll do everything in order to be healthy for this." |

5) She's got winning records against just about everyone in the field.
Could this be Sharapova's year to grab a second WTA Finals crown? If history is anything to go by, the answer may be yes. She's got winning records against all three of the other qualifiers so far:
5-0 vs Halep
3-0 vs Muguruza
6-3 vs Kvitova
And she's got winning records against all but one of the players battling it out for the other four spots in the elite eight field (with the exception of a WTA Rising Star she's never played against before):
4-3 vs Kerber
12-2 vs Radwanska
4-2 vs Safarova
2-3 vs Pennetta
5-3 vs Venus
4-1 vs Suárez Navarro
0-0 vs Pliskova

Adoiiii nk nangis guling2 rasa...
I pun sedih. Been reading a lot about him nowadays in tennis.com forum. Kalau djoko tak ada competition, dah tak syok nak tengok. It is not the same anymore |
