《星洲日报》曾经两度停刊，第一次是在 1942 至 1945 年，因日军南侵，马新两地相继沦陷而被迫停刊；第二次是 1987 年 10 月 27 日，遭马来西亚政府援引出版和印刷法令吊消出版准证。1988 年 4 月 8 日，《星洲日报》得以复刊。那时，星洲在我的眼里是多么的正义凛然，如今星洲的 “正义形象” 已经变成了 “往事只能回味”。
星洲日报，自称是马来西亚的大报，一次又一次报导不中立而遭网民杯葛，一次又一次惹上不应该出现在报界的丑闻，而他们却还是继续一次又一次地和我们的老板们唱反调，问题出现在哪里？难道他们害怕再次被停刊？还是害怕幕后操控者的权力？那么，他们这样做，无疑就是侮辱了广大的报业！要知道有史以来革命的路途上，报章扮演的角色非常重要！电影也有做的剧情啊～
曾经，有议员说网民是暴民，什么大事小事就玩杯葛；这一次，星洲日报公然杯葛行动党的丘光耀，那么《星洲日报》又在扮演着什么角色？媒体暴民？还是人人唾弃的报界乞丐？
小时候，没有网络，我们是井底之蛙，要知道世界就只有报纸；
现时代，有了网络，我们是 E 世代人民，要知道世界，连房间都不用离开！
我常常在想，如果这个世界并没有网络等媒体，我们会怎样？大家都会被蒙在鼓里吗？也许这就是我们的上一代被骗了几十年的原因吧！而这是不是主流媒体责任呢？就由读者用自己心里的尺去度量度量吧！
