Apple’s latest update to their iOS is reportedly causing iPhones to lose battery power quicker, as well as other minor glitches. The iOS 7.1 update, which was released last Monday, has also apparently caused phone contacts to disappear and Bluetooth connections to be disrupted, according to the Huffington Post. One angry iPhone user on an official Apple forum wrote: ‘My iphone 5s battery also drains fast after ios 7.1 update. Before the update I get 24hrs moderate to heavy use. But now I only get 12 hours.’ Another user complained of the same problem, adding: ‘I’ve had my phone for 3 months, never have dropped it once or anything of the sort, if that matters. ‘My battery drains to 50% within an hour or so after intense use on the lowest level of brightness, and I seem to lose about 5-7 percent when on standby for 5 hours or so.’ The new iOS 7.1 is reportedly one of the quickest downloaded updates ever.
