Katy Perry’s hit song Dark Horse has been transformed by one singer who has used it to tackle 20 different musical styles in just four minutes. Anthony Vincent posted his cover onto YouTube showing off his impressive vocal range as he sung the track in a whole range of genres from grunge to r’n'b to heavy metal. The musician performed 10-second segments in the style of bands like Queen, Frank Sinatra, Nirvana, Michael Jackson, Slipknot and Boyz II Men.
He said of the cover, the first in a series of Ten Second Songs: ‘All music was produced and recorded in house. None of the official recording was used.’ Katy Perry was criticised for her video for Dark Horse, which was accused of blasphemy. The singer was attacked after a scene in the new promo, which featured Katy playing a Cleopatra-type figure, showing a man wearing an Allah pendant being blasted. Metro
