SAMSUNG’S highly anticipated Galaxy S5 smartphone and two smartwatches — the Gear 2 and Fit — will go on sale here on April 11. The devices were just announced one month ago at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The most notable aesthetic change to the S5 is the redesigned back which features a faux-leather design similar to the Galaxy Note 3 but with indented dots. The S5 with Charcoal Black or Shimmery White back is expected to go on sale first while the availability of Electric Blue and Copper Gold will be announced at a later date. Looks aside, the Galaxy S5’s other headline grabbing feature is the built-in fingerprint sensor which lets you unlock the phone and even make secure payments via PayPal. If you are health conscious, you will love the integrated heart rate sensor that lets you measure your heart rate and set fitness goal with the included S Health app. Meanwhile, the two new Gear smartwatches are evolutions of the Galaxy Gear model launched last year. The Gear 2 (RM899) and Fit (RM599) can be paired with the S5 or other Samsung smartphones to track your fitness, as well as monitor incoming messages, calls and more. http://www.thestar.com.my/Tech/T ... /Samsung-S5-launch/
