Scandal star Columbus Short has been accused of threatening to kill his wife during an altercation, with the actor's wife granted a temporary restraining order. Short's wife Tuere has also filed for divorce after alleging that the TV star threatened to kill her and himself during a fight on April 7. According to the restraining order, the incident started when Columbus, who reportedly appeared intoxicated, lunged at Tuere with a wine bottle before he verbally abused her and poured the wine on her. When Tuere attempted to flee, Short allegedly pinned her on the couch and held a knife near her throat. "He placed the knife close to my neck and threatened to kill me and then kill himself," Tuere states in the papers. The statement continues, alleging that Columbus demanded they play a game he called “Truth or Truth” where he accused his wife of having affairs. She denied infidelity and was able to escape with the couple’s two-year-old daughter Ayala. The documents detail two other incidents of alleged domestic violence, occurring on February 18 and February 3. Tuere has been granted temporary custody of the couple's child with no visitation rights given to Columbus who has also been ordered to move out of the couple’s California home. Tuere also filed for divorce on Tuesday from her husband of nine years, citing irreconcilable differences. She has asked for full custody of their daughter with visitation rights.
