LOS ANGELES, Feb 21 — Australian actor Jai Courtney (“Divergent”) has been cast as Kyle Reese in the next installment of the “Terminator” reboot, according to Variety. The actor discovered in “A Good Day to Die Hard” (2013) walks in the footsteps of Michael Beihn and Anton Yelchin, playing John Connor’s father in the machine-dominated world created by James Cameron in 1984. The 27-year-old actor joins British actress Emilia Clarke in role of Sarah Connor. Their son John will be played by Jason Clarke, and Alan Taylor (“Thor: The Dark World”) directs. Arnold Schwarzenegger will be back in the starring role of the cyborg tasked to go back in time to kill Sarah Connor before she gives birth to John. Paramount Pictures is supervising the production, set to become the first installment of a trilogy. It will hit the big screen internationally in 2015. — AFP
