Every year at the Mobile World Congress, the Global Mobile Awards takes place and honors outstanding performing products on the mobile market. This time HTC was nominated and won. HTC One has been acclaimed by critics yet again. Unfortunately, the manufacturer in crisis won’t be able to make a profit from this. The tragedy surrounding the HTC One is that the critics love it like no other, however it didn’t receive the success it desperately needed from customers. Now the Taiwanese company’s only consolation is that they can place the trophy above the fireplace in their corporate headquarters, while frantically looking for ways out of the crisis. The best smartphone at MWC 2013 incidentally was the Galaxy S3. For most innovative manufacturer, LG was chosen this time, while the best entry-level smartphone was the Lumia 520 by Nokia, and the best tablet the Apple iPad Air. The latter is certainly not a big surprise. In the year to come, Sony will certainly be a candidate with its Xperia Z2 Tablet. AndroidPIT
