LOS ANGELES, March 4 — Vincent D’Onofrio has agreed to play the antagonist in the fourth movie in the “Jurassic Park” franchise launched by Steven Spielberg in 1993, Deadline.com indicates. The actor has added his name to the cast of “Jurassic World,” Universal’s blockbuster slated for release in 3D in 2015. The actor, who got his big break in 1987 playing Private Leonard “Gomer Pyle” Lawrence in Stanley Kubrick’s “Full Metal Jacket,” will take on the role of the villain in the forthcoming movie. The actor, who previously starred on “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” as Detective Robert Goren, will co-star with Bryce Dallas Howard, Chris Pratt and Irfan Khan (“Life of Pi,” “The Amazing Spider-Man”) in this blockbuster directed by Colin Trevorrow (“Safety Not Guaranteed”). “Jurassic World” will arrive in North American theatres on June 12, 2015. The movie will mark the return of the franchise 14 years after the previous instalment, “Jurassic Park III,” directed by Joe Johnston. — AFP-Relaxnews
