The market for mid-range smartphones is booming. Well, that is, as long as you can make a smartphone that isn’t completely dumbed down and gives the consumer the feel and abilities of a higher-end device. The success of the Moto G has definitely caught the eye of manufacturers: the Xiami Hongmi 1S has been announced and now HTC is vying for the same type of accolades with their Desire 310. The HTC Desire 310 will be available in April, at least if you live in Europe. As for word as to whether the device will make its way across the pond to North America is still yet to be revealed. The device itself is inspired by the HTC One, in terms of the design, and doesn’t look at first glance like a mid-range smartphone. While it may not be heavy on the hardware specs, as expected, it still packs a punch for the price and size of the device. Take a look at the technical data: As stated above, the Desire 310 will hit European shelves in April with O2, Vodafone, and Carphone Warehouse being the carriers of choice for HTC. While the HTC Desire 310 definitely tries to draw parallels, it may not be much competition for the Moto G. AndroidPIT
