Jade Chang’s debut novel "The Wangs vs. the World" follows Taiwanese-born American businessman Charles Wang, who must unite his children to start fresh in China after losing his fortune to the 2008 recession. The Wangs set off on a road trip across the country, all the way struggling to deal with their new financial situation — and each other. I liked "The Underground Railroad" by Colson Whitehead. Moreover, I even recommended it to my friends. Of course, this is not a novelty, but this year, I was most impressed by character boo radley from the novel, namely, "To Kill a Mockingbird." I could not tear myself away, but the struggle with society is described in general as incredible. It is true that some books fall into our hands at the wrong time, but I am glad that in my case everything worked out so well.
