IdolDrama "Fire Basketball" is finally on deck to film as Jerry Yan, ShowLuo, and Wu Zun set out for a battle on the basketball court. Filmingfor this new drama is starting at the end of November, with a cost ofabout $60 Million.
Jerry Yan's Discounted Appearance
Havingnot even started the filming process, "Fire Basketball" with Jerry,Show, and Zun has already started a commotion in Asia. Before Jerry hadaccepted the offer, at one time he had declined the offer due to thecharacter role. It's because he feels that he cannot play a humorousrole. Jerry is currently residing in Japan and the producer Fen Jia Ruisincerely flew to Japan a few times and offered to adjust his characterto please Jerry in order to have him agree to do the drama.
Show Luo Anticipates "Acting Cool"
Jerryhas already met with director, Lin He Long, and had given Jerry manysuggestions, including improvements on his acting. In the drama, Jerryis a basketball master and Show Luo is his agile, spring-leggedteammate, Show Luo says, "[This drama] allows me to act cool/handsome,so I'm looking forward to it." Show and Zun had met each other beforeon "100% Entertainment" (Yu Le Bai Fen Bai), at that time Zun hadpresented him with gym gloves. They not only exchanged phone numbers, but they would also play basketball together.
Wu Zun Doesn't Care about Ranking
Thesethree handsome guys have a love for basketball and will soon set out abattle on the basketball court. How the 3 guy's roles are going to beset and how their rankings will is a major discussion topic. The mostrecently debuted of the 3 guys, Zun, says, "This isn't the main point.Show and Jerry are both my basketball friends. So it will befascinating to work with them.
Leading Female Role Undecided and Still Vacant
It'sunderstood that they had considered many female actors to fill theleading female role, from Barbie Xu, Rainie Yang, Angela Zhang to GuiLun Mei, but as of now, the female leading role is still vacant.Comic-Ritz Company expressed, not only is "Basketball" having a hardtime finding the leading female role actress, but the original femalelead for a new drama "Fried Rice," Ren Xuan Rong (Kristen Ren, Selina'slittle sister) is also being replaced also due to the role of thecharacter, so they also face the problem of finding a new female lead.

excitednya baca berita ni...tp mcm pelik plak yg watak Chun bertukar dengan Jerry sebab Jerry tak yakin bawak watak Sakuragi tu...tak boleh bayangkan jugak si Chun yg gila2 tp kiranya satu watak yg baru utk Chun....
Jerry set je projek pun jalan...market Jerry lebih luas untuk overseas lebih2 lg kat Jepun dimana dia mmg popular skrang ni jd pulangan balik utk kos produksi terjamin....

Jerry Yan's pricetag is 5 times that of Wu Zun's
TheTV screen debut of Yan Cheng Xu "Jerry" and Wu Zun in the idol drama"Basketball of Fire" has still not started shooting yet. According toreports, F4 Superman-charms Jerry Yan is prepared to accept theproduction offer to film at nearly $500,000 per episode, creating thenew heavenly price mark while the neo-famous Wu Zun only gets $100,000per episode as an equal "idol".
After all the fanfare, JerryYan would now join Luo Zhi Xiang "Show" and Wu Zun in the idol drama"Basketball of Fire" estimated to begin shooting on November, where 3of the biggest companies producing the dream cast will all combine in aproject. Before, Jerry was reported to have accepted the role but laterturned it down but when the production exchanged the roles, he finallyaccepted the project.
It was earlier reported that when Jerryturned down the role, the producer followed him even in Japan andsincerely offered the project to him again, with the price offercertainly not too bad. Yesterday, it was learned that the 3 bigcompanies will shoulder the talent fees for this drama. As expected,Jerry would now create the biggest talent fee record with close to$500,000 per a 90-minute episode. Show will get $200,000 while amongthe 3, the newbie yet the most famous Wu Zun surprisingly would getonly P100,000 per episode.
Putting aside Show in the list, canJerry Yan and Wu Zun be now considered as 2 of the biggest stars in theTaiwanese drama circle? For the first time when one hears of the talentfees in "Basketball of Fire," how can it be that "a single Jerry Yancould be paid 5 times that of Wu Zun!"
Yesterday, when Wu Zunfans learned about the talent fees, they actually felt unfair andoutraged by the arrangements with Jerry. Wu Zun's agent Chen Hui Yinginstead said," Wu Zun's talent fee has not yet been discussed yet. Itwould depend on how much Bai Da is willing to compromise.", andobiously not willing to touch on the difference of Jerry and Wu Zun'sprice tag issues.
"Basketball of Fire" producer Ba DaiProductions Vice Chairman for Sales Cai Fei Quiao said, "There isnothing to be compared about in the talent fees. The difference of the2 stars' talent fees are not really very big. Of course rather thanacknowledging the issue, this drama is actually everyone's dreamproject. Setting aside the talent fees, why would we be willing toproduce this drama together if not from these 3 big companies who willshoulder the expenses?
It is reported that 3 people joinedforces for this dream cast. Bai Da would smash down $60 millionproduction costs for the 3D animation special effects, to stimulatestrong basketball movements. At present, it is planned to have 13episodes, with Bai Da actively auditioning for actors who will play asbasketball players, not ruling out ball players Mao Jia En, He ShouZheng and many more as guest stars in the basketball matches. However, the most pressing problem until now are the leading ladies, who hadstill not been finalized yet.

It is rumored that Jerry's talent fees in "Basketball
of Fire" is much higher than Sh0w Zhu and Wu Zun
JerryYan would definitely join the cast of Ba Dai's drama production"Basketball of Fire" to play basketball with Wu Zun and Show Zhu. Thereare rumors that his talent fee is about NT$490,000, and for a20-episode project he would get richer with $9.8 million consumingabout 1/6 of Ba Dai's total production costs of $60 million.
Itis said that Jerry's $490,000 talent fee per episode is still too highcompared to Wu Zun's 120,000 per episode fee and Show's P200,000 perepisode price tag. However, Jerry's agent Matt Cheng said, "We stillhad not talked about the price."
The soonest start of shootingdate for Basketball of Fire" would be by the end of November. The 3male leads form the "dream team" and Jerry was reported not willing totake the funny character role of Ying Mu Hua of "Yuan Great Eagles."Over the last 2 years, the producer had been pursuing Jerry to take therole, and even flew to Japan to talk to him. Later Jerry exchanged hiswith Wu Zun's role of the cool and handsome Liu Cuan Feng of "EastSoars."
Then Wu Zun would now play the role of a talentedball player of "Xi Men Horses". Wu Zun then said, "Jerry and Show areboth my basketball friends, also gets along as friends, working withthem will surely be very interesting,"
