MILAN - Inter finished off 2004 with a gritty 1-0 win over Brescia at the San Siro on Sunday afternoon to keep their long unbeaten run intact and move up to fourth spot in the Serie A standings, with Cagliari in action against Palermo tonight.
Free kick specialist Sinisa Mihajlovic decided the Lombardy derby with his third Nerazzurri goal on 25 minutes, beating Castellazzi with a perfectly-executed set-piece which flew round the wall and into the bottom left-hand corner.
The Nerazzurri had three or four good chances to increase their lead in the second period, but Brescia keeper Castellazzi made fine saves from Adriano, Vieri and Stankovic.
After the two-week winter break the Nerazzurri's first competitive match of 2005 is a Serie A Week 17 trip to Tuscan side Livorno.

Cruz keen on Fiorentina Monday 20 December, 2004

Julio Cruz抯 agent has opened the door for his client to leave Inter for Fiorentina after Christmas.
The Viola admitted that they were keen on the striker over the weekend and Florence could be his next destination.
"Julio would be willing to join them," his representative Gustavo Ghezzi stated. "But there are five clubs in total who want him.
"Fiorentina and Palermo are the Italian clubs interested, while Liverpool, Marseille and Paris SG are keen too.
"Cruz would prefer to stay in Serie A though and he is open to the idea of going to Florence."
The former Bologna ace is set to be sold by the San Siro outfit after failing to win regular first team football.
Meanwhile, Ghezzi also commented on the future of Udinese抯 highly rated playmaker David Pizarro.
"Everything is going fine with Udinese right now and the club won抰 be selling him in the New Year," he added.
"The future? It is too soon to comment now even if any opportunity to join a big club will be considered by us."
The Chilean has been linked to the likes of Inter and Juventus in the past but no move has ever taken place.

yup,mmg suffer..sampai aku naik risau..tapi kita banyak chances..itu la kelebihan Inter..attacking power mmg top class..but aku risau ngan defence..transfer window bukak nanti Mancini kena la beli sorang dua player yg boleh fix kelemahan nie.. |
