PS mengalami zaman kejatuhan

Jualan PS3 sewaktu pelancaran tak begitu memberangsangkan, cuma 100,000 berjaya shipped, tapi tak tentu lagi sama ada akan dikembalikan tidak. semuanya kerana harga yg mahal daripada xbox 360 dan nintendo wi. harganya dipasarkan lebih kurang rm1500, tapi utk xbox 360 cuma lebih kurang rm900 dan nintendo wi rm750.
semuanya kerana duit byk dihabiskan utk membangunkan teknologi "cell", iaitu teknologi cip mikroprosesor yg lebih pantas berbanding pentium dual core sedia ada dlm pc. pastu penggunaan cd blu ray yg 5x lebih byk isi berbanding dvd menyebabkan ramai games developer kurang berminat. so apa kata korang? |

sony dier tgk jauh...tu la psl dier letak semua chip yg ade..hehe
tp aku rase ps3 still akan berjaya cam ps1 ngan ps2...
360 pon bkan besh sgt pon...tp bile game(gempak)dier dh kluar(GOW)
mesti ramai bli 360..ps3 pon camtuh gak...
tp wii lak dier pentingkn keseronokan semase main
tuh buat wiimote..klau wii 800 kebwh...aku beli trus klau sampai kt m'sia nih.. |

yang 100,000 tu utk pelancaran... bukan for mass. ini considered 1st 100,000 owners la.. exclusive ppl je. nnt march kang kite tgk la.. as usual, ps will top all of the gaming machines out there. i know. cuz walaupon aku beli xbox. ps2 jugak yang best. infact, xbox 3rd sebab dreamcast lagi best. |

It is rather strange to me.With such what seems like an 'overwhelming demand' for the PS3 in Japan and yet,what we see now is Jap consoles are on sale in almost every shop in Malaysia and Singapore so quickly...

Here's the thing. Both PS3 and 360 have the same amount of usable memory... on paper. What we're seeing here with texture quality is the work of either the bloated PS3 operating system taking up too much RAM, developers not being able to successfully utilise the different RAM types for textures, or a combination of the two. If the first is more prominent or the second is a permanent limitation,expect all PS3 games to have worse texturing.
But yes,Ridge Racer 7 SHOULD look better than Ridge Racer 6; and no,it doesn't.

Reminds me of IGN review of Resistance:Fall of Man(Sony's Killer-App for PS3).The texture quality were stated as not that good too.

These observations are pretty in sync with the technical comparisons of the systems. Expect to see ps3 versions have less detail, especially if they're aiming for 1080p all the time.
Again though - why is a year old title showing more detail than a new title? That, simply, is wrong.
