SOHC vs DOHC

Hello korang sumer...!!!

Nampaknya ramai yang berdebat pasal enjin yang maca lagi bagus, SOHC atau DOHC, even di kalangan pomen workshop. Penyokong DOHC mendakwa enjin DOHC lagi power sebab bukaan injap dier lebih "ringan" sebab kurang inersia drp lengan penyanyi rock... eh silap, rocker arm. Penyokong SOHC lak mendakwa low-end torque enjin SOHC lagi bagus. Tapi, konfigurasi injap dan combustion chamber pada enjin SOHC still bleh direka untuk jadik sejibik macam enjin DOHC dan aliran masuk udara-bahan api pada enjin DOHC bleh direka untuk hasilkan low-end torque yang sama kuat macam enjin SOHC.

So, apa pendapat korang...?

perghh.. voter pertama yg blur

Aku sebenarnya nk vote DOHC sbb head enjin keta aku twincam tapi mcm tak adil pulak.. power/torque characteristic enjin ni banyak faktor yng mempengaruhinya...
: Twincam (DOHC) - hasil dari pembacaan kat internet, sebenarnya yg ni lagi 'berat' sebab ada 2 camshaft. So, enjin kena gerakkan dua camshaft (biasanya ada 2 pulley sekalik tuu). Yg menjadikannya power kerana ruang pernafasan lebih besar...

pendapat yg kurang arif..

dohc ni kalo kat highway agak steady.Tp kalo kat bandar takde pickup langsung

aku pakai campro dohc cam biasa je... aku agaknya yang buta enjin kottt.... ke enjin campro dohc tu yang tak power...!!!!!!!!!

tengok cc enjin lah....
kalau enjin wira 1.5 SOHC dgn enjin kelisa 1.0 DOHC, dah tentu wira SOHC lagi power.

aku pilih SOHC..

drpd pengalaman aku, semua keta konti yg aku pakai sohc belaka.
yg pastinya sohc:
1. less & cheaper maintenance cost
2. more clearance in engine bay means easy for visibility checking & bagus utk pengudaraan
3. penggunaan petrol yg rendah
4. better torque
5. durable & tough (even pernah sekali timing belt putus tapi enjin & valve tak jejas langsung).

aku pkai SOHC 1.8 4g93.....ok jer

hmm...
kalau nak pecut, aku tak payah pakai enjin dohc pun..
enjin sohc pun boleh pecut...enjin sohc aku dah diturbocharged kan...
on enjin 195 bhp. tapi dapat 168bhp on rear wheel pun dah kira ok lahh...

sapa yg enjin SOHC kalau convert ke DOHC, just tampal stiker DOHC dah ok dah.

tampal sticker DOHC pun dah boleh tambah 10hp..kehkehkeh

tu belum tampal lagi sticker DVVT,VVTi, CamPRO, VTEC & MIVEC...
mau tambah lagi 58hp...

mana la tau, masuk keta je dah ada button +/- kat steering tu nanti...

Tak betul gak kalau kata kurang arif, sebab setiap enjin ada kelebihan tersendiri, terpulang kepada pengeluar enjin untuk aply trick untuk hilangkan kelemahan pada enjin sedia ada. Sebenarnya ada trick untuk jadikan enjin DOHC nyer low-end torque kuat, atau dengan kata lain kat bandar dier lagi pikap. Rahsianya terletak pada alur masukan udara (air intake) ke enjin. Alur masukan udara direka panjang dan melengkung untuk create turbulence bila udara masuk ke enjin supaya petrol dibakar dengan sempurna pada rpm rendah. Tu yang pikap time low-end.

Waja memang dah ada button +/- kat steering, tapi bukan button tiptronic, tapi button volume radio.

Pasal low-end torque ker...? Sebenarnya enjin Campro DOHC tu direka untuk dipasang dengan variable-length inlet manifold (VIM) dan gak cam profile switching (CPS). Bila takder VIM tu la punca utama kenapa enjin Campro terasa macam kureng bila rpm rendah tapi sedap pada rpm tinggi. Bila pasang dgn CPS lagi la terasa best dan power giler, sebab enjin Campro CPS ni bleh lawan dengan enjin Honda VTEC 1.6 laa...
