Siapa Layan / Suka Music Genre Funk Jazz?

I would really like to know how many Malaysians, or at least forumers who likes and enjoy this genre of music. For those who do not know what funk jazz is, it is basically jazz, but with a faster beat and added electronic sounds to it. The bass and the drum, as in jazz, is the main feature of this genre. This genre was started by the young musicians during the time of jazz. They wanted to add some spice and make the jazz music able to be played in discos and clubs (which means people can dance to it).

Below are the definition of Funk Jazz/ Jazz Funk from Wikipedia:
Jazz-funk is a sub-genre of jazz music characterized by a strong back beat (groove), electrified sounds[1], and often, the presence of the first electronic analog synthesizers. The integration of Funk, Soul, and R&B music and styles into jazz resulted in the creation of a genre whose spectrum is indeed quite wide and ranges from strong jazz improvisation to soul, funk or disco with jazz arrangements, jazz riffs, and jazz solos, and sometimes soul vocals[2]. Jazz-funk is a mostly American genre, where it was popular throughout the 1970s and the early 1980s, but it also achieved noted appeal on the club-circuit in England during the mid 1970s. Other possible names for this genre include soul jazz and jazz fusion, but neither entirely overlap with jazz-funk. Notably Jazz-funk is less vocal, more arranged and featured more impro than Soul-Jazz, and retains a strong feel of groove and R&B Vs some of the Jazz-fusion production.

Added info: Incubus dulu diorang start ngan funk jazz la, tapi diorang masukkan punk n emo skali dalam album Fungus Amongus.
Kalo tengok citer Drumline, lagu2 yang ayah main character die bagi dalam cassette tu adalah funk jazz.

Kat Malaysia ni, ada beberapa band yang ade gak la tergolong dalam genre ni, seperti Jeopardise and Silica Gel. Tapi aku pernah tengok dis one live show in Penang, ade 1 band yang perform (cina+melayu+india). tapi aku xsempat stay sampai abis. xtau apa nama band tu.

So, kalo ade sape2 yang tahu, minat, or even ingin mula meminati, layan la thread nih...aku pun baru lagi layan.
