Proton is recalling a total of 34,000 Proton Savvys due to potential water entry into the rear wheel-bearing which could lead to a malfunction of the affected components. Proton say this recall is purely a precautionary measure for the safety of its customers.

PETALING JAYA: Proton is recalling its Savvy cars over a possible problem with regards to the car抯 rear-wheel bearing.

The company said a recent inspection has brought to its attention that water could get into the bearing, which could lead to a malfunction.

Wheell bearing, tak salah aku last recall Volvo XC90 pun sbb menatang ni gak

dulu thn 90an ada jugak masalah rear wheel bearing untuk M-car (Wira,Satria dan Putra)....tapi depa tak buat recall-Campaign lahh....hanya based on customer complaint aje...masalahnya sama juga air masuk dlm wheel bearing hub tersebut kerana kelemahan sealing/Sealant dia...biasalah tu,,,,,kereta PROTONNNNNNNNNNN

walau haku puji sikap amik berat pengurusan baru proton nih..... haku tetap tak pueh hati kenapa menda nih baru dorang terperasan padahal savvy sudah dekat 3 taon on road...... tido kaa

dan mengikut media hanya proton branch saja jer nak wat chek.... 34k org dia nak chek...... memang nak kena bambu ngan haku ler klu amik masa lama2.......

aku harap dia tukar tanpa tunggu defect tuh meragam...... mungkin dorang amik masa untuk sediakan stok kot.... klu dorang tukau semua 34k memang haku tabik proton... sbb klu masalah dorang kena tukau semua yg berhubung kait dgn drum brake termasuklah bearing dan sebagainyer... maksudnyer kita  boleh tukar brake shoe dgn percuma...
