Catalytic converter removal

Has anyone placed a straight pipe where their cats where? I am thinking about doing this in hopes of some gas mileage gain? Both of my post cat O2 sensors failed about a year ago. I have these bypassed with resister cap / resister. The check engine light is off so, this seems to be satisfying the computer.. Anyone have any information or opinions on this?
bagaimana dengan prestasi and so on. Rasanya ada bende ni buat terkedu enjin je. lagi pun msia ni tak wajib kan bende ni.anyone?
