Is it the Flanker?...is the Fulcrum?...Typhoon maybe?....no its...

The U.S is very afraid parts for the plane will be going to Iran.....that it is ordering all mothballed and retired F-14s to be scrapped...even the museum examples are to be striped till bared bones and living a shell.....shows how fearfull they are of the plane.....despite its old design...it is still very capable..

Iranian Tomcats were so good in the Iran-Iraq war, that during operation dessert storm, US Navy F-14s only had 1 comfirm kill ( a Hip chopper) as Iraqi fighters turned away every time they sensed an F-14's familiar radar emission...

" Iraqi fighters routinely displayed countertactics as soon as the Tomcats "lit them up" with the AWG-9. The Iraqis would immediately abandon the attack while well out of range, perhaps indicating their familiarity with both the Tomcat and the AIM-54 from previous encounters with Iranian F-14"

If I'm the US govt, I would purposely leak cracked parts into the market or place a bug in the electronics.

Anyway, i doubt the iranian F14s is a threat to modern fighters of today.

Its simple. Iran is a terrorists state. You dont hand it to them on a platter.
If Iran is the only country other than US with F5s, the same would had happened to retired F5 planes.
