Seperti kita sedia maklum, Malaysia kaya dgn pelbagai jenis loghat dan bahasa.
Mcm aku, asal dari sebelah utara, loghat utara la popular kt sna.

aku rasa loghat kedah/utara paling popular, dan dari segi bilangan penutur pon aku rasa loghat utara paling ramai.
3 negeri :- perlis, kedah, penang mmg majority cakap loghat utara, sstgh kawasan kt perak cth parit buntaq, selama pon ckp loghat utara walopon x piaw cam kedah punya. kt satun siam pon ckp loghat utara, juga di selatan Myanmar.
dlm wikipedia dianggarkan ada kira-kira 4 juta penutur. penggunaan loghat utara agak meluas. |

Kedah dialect to be showcased in new movie

ACCLAIMED movie director Osman Ali is bringing the Kedah dialect to the silver screen in his new film ‘Cun’.
The film, set in Kedah, sees most of its characters speaking in the Kedahan Malay dialect throughout the movie.
‘‘As a Kedahan, I’ve always wanted to shoot a film in Kedah and now, I have my chance with this film,’’ he said at a press conference in Alor Setar recently with the movie’s main cast members.
‘Cun’ is a romantic comedy that follows the life of a television personality Luna (Maya Karin)who runs away from the city after her boyfriend is involved in a scandal with an upcoming artiste.
In the village, she meets Tok Cha (Kartina Aziz) who single-handedly raised her three grandchildren Atan (Remy Ishak), Manis (Nadia Nisaa) and Putat (Mohamad Ezran Shah Wira) after their parents died.
Luna is awed by Tok Cha’s strength and wants to emulate her but at the same time, she is attracted to Atan who is protective over his handicapped sister Manis.
Osman said this was the first romantic comedy that he had directed and he believed that it would attract viewers from all walks of life.
"This movie is different from my previous movie ‘Anak Halal’ but I believe that this movie will still bring viewers to the cinema not only because of Maya and Remy but also because it is a feel-good movie," he said.
He said that shooting for the movie would be completed soon and he hoped that the movie would hit the local cinema circuit by August.
Eighty percent of the movie was shot in Kedah with the balance in Kuala Lumpur, he said.
Osman said the movie was produced by Tayangan Unggul and Nuansa Sdn Bhd.
For Maya Karin, ‘Cun’ is a colourful movie set in a traditional Malay village.
‘‘This is the second time I have worked with Osman.
“I fell in love with this movie after reading its script. It is entertaining and fun,’’ she said.
Kartina Aziz, a Kedahan, said it was easy for her to speak the dialect and she loved the grandmother character that she played.
Also starring in this movie are Ning Baizura (Candy), Jehan Miskin (Ryan), Marsha Milah London (Siti Senjakala) and Mislina Mustafa (Bedah Tonggek). |

tu org panggil slang bukan loghat.
slang ni bahasa yg dituturkan oleh golongan tertentu sahaja.
dialek pulak adalah bahasa yg dituturkan oleh kelompok masyarakat dalam dalam daerah tertentu, atau bahasa setempat |
