Just to add... Scorpene technology is more advance than Sjoormen o Vastergotlands class, and it is comparable too german Type 212 and A26... It's latest design of SSK submarine technology from France...

And its can stay 3 times more submerges with AIP than basic submarines....

Yeah, any AIP submarine can submerge 3 times longer than a basic submarine. We all know that.

Well, obviously the Scorpene was developed later than Sjoormen and Vastergotland class, so if it isn't more advanced, what's the point of designing it. At any case, both the sjoormens have been modernised (but probably is still inferior) and the Vastergotland class (have been refitted to Sodermanland AIP standards). I'm not qualified to say how they'll match up, since in the submarine game even Seawolf or Virginia class submarine crewed by idiots will lose to an experienced Kilo class crew.

Like I said, we're waiting for the A26. Haven't found the time to google stuff, but the last I heard, Singapore's been rumoured to be the funders of the A26.

i thought the kilos are better than the Seawolf or Virginia class....

Equally the same off course with her same class subs kot however roumoured the quietest with low signature compared her class lah!

Can the Kilo spend 3 months submerged, fire 12 cruise missiles and 50 torpedoes and run away from other torps at 40+ knots?
That said, we don't know how they match up acoustically. The Seawolf and Virginia is a ghost at under 20 knots but obviously a submarine with basically every moving part shut down is quieter.

It's like comparing apples to oranges. The both SSNs are by far tactically and strategically superior but then again you can operate 10 Kilos in place of a SSN. At the end of the day, the kilo just doesn't give you true blue water capability. Just brown water 'fear factor' and area denial.
