aku dh byk google dh pasal mende ni..
yg aku jmpa suma ckp kene run on server baru leh send emel..
aku try wat kat local host dgn internet connectionla...
aku dh ubah kat php.ini tuh smtp=localhost..
bila run kua error ni

pe guna smtp ni? kalo aku run sys ni kat server bukan kt localhost agak2nya leh run x? aku de terjumpa beberapa free smtp emel cam hotpop, gmail...emel2 ni sama ke cm smtp yg kt iis ni? kalo aku guna smtp yg ni dan run kat localhost leh tak?
lagi 1 solution yg aku jmpa guna phpmailer class...yg ni pon kene run kat server gak ke?
so far aku guna satu trial software ni nama dia QK SMTP Server..kalo guna ni lehla sent email..tp cuma boleh send emel kat local network jela..within my office je...cmna kalo nak bg dia send kat emel yahoo, hotmail, etc?plzz help me..aku dah berpinar ari ni study pasal smtp je...

smtp ni adalah simple mail transfer protocol. a protocol mail server uses to send/receive email to appropriate destination over the internet. hotpop, gmail, etc., those email providers use a full blown mail server software (such as exchange, domino, sendmail, etc), not just an agents, or something similar to that.

iis is a web server software. iis doesn't have smtp service. but you can install it and it will be integrated with iis. smtp in iis is the same as smtp in full blown mail server. however, it can't send email outside of its domain (to the internet). that's why you can send email within your LAN only. to be able to send email to the internet, you need to relay it to your mail server. you need to setup your mail server to accept relay request. almost all mail servers don't allow relay service to avoid unauthorized usage of the server, abuse, etc.

QK SMTP server tu sebenarnya boleh send ke memana emails including gmail, hotmail, yahoo dan juga other POP3 mailboxes dan bukan jer within network ko jer. Setup dia no-brainer... install jer and ikut default settings. Mungkin juga kena adjust port # jer. Pastu setkan SMTP server kat email client ke 'localhost'. Dah boleh tembak email merata dunia. Mungkin sebab limitation trial jer kot yang buat ko dapat hantar within network ko saja. :hmm:

Aku guna QK SMTP server tu kat office and rumah sebab senang, cepat and takyah connect ke pop3 office aku - diaorang block sending emails ke gmail, hotmail, yahoo etc. :@

PM aku kalau ko nak aku punya QK SMTP server
