akum..
ada sesapa kat sini nak jelaskan kat aku camna nak wat domain pointing tak.
aku pening ni,
case macam ni
aku register satu webhosting free
dalam tu ada satu option macam ni:
Extra domain
Extra domain
Add a valid domain name(.com, .co.uk etc). After adding this domain both the domain and previous subdomain will operate on your account.
Domains must be registered through an external registrar.
Nameservers: ns1.1gb.cc, ns2.1gb.cc
aku nak semua application yg aku install kat hosting ni redirect ke nama website aku.
katakan:
yussoef.1gb.cc -----bila taip address ni akan redirect org ke yussoef.com
apa harus aku letak kat inputbox add a valid domain name tu.
yussoef.com ke?
so bila aku dah letak, step apa lagi aku nak buat?
please..aku dah pening sampai abis reset segala-gala domain yussoef.com tu

first, you need to register your yussoef.com domain with domain registrar. then you need to modify your dns entry (on nameserver). in dns entry, you need to point your yussoef.1gb.cc to yussoef.com domain. it may not work right away as you need to allow dns servers time to replicate - from a few minutes to up to 48-72 hours.
i don't know how exactly your webhosting provider works but based on your info, yes, you need to put yussoef.com in the box. so, when people type yussoef.com, dns will point them to yussoef.1gb.cc. however, i believe, users will see yussoef.1gb.cc once it resolves instead of yussoef.com because yussoef.1gb.cc is the one that ties to an ip address. if you want people to resolve to yussoef.com, then you need to point yussoef.com to your website ip address and at the same time do the step in the first paragraph.

tq..
that is exactly how the things went through----
right now to be exact i got 2 primer dns names/addresses
ns3.netkl.org
ns4.netkl.org
so in this case shud i add two more dns names:
ns1.1gb.cc
ns2.1gb.cc
n wait 48-72 hours
n after that the new domain on the free webhost will
be redirect to yussoef.com
maybe i was impatient to wait
during the short span of time wakakaka
actually the support team of netkl is not answering my question properly!
tq. ![](static/image/smiley/default/smile.gif)

yes, better that way because not all dns servers replicate each other zone files (but not necessary as all dns servers allow non-authoritative request against each other). you only need to add to ns1.1gb.cc as ns2.1gb.cc will surely replicate from ns1.1gb.cc (usually every 60 minutes, depending on how the admin set it up - unless it's not). the only sure thing is, all dns servers always have root database.
however, keep in mind. if you make a change on one server, you need to make sure all of them are change.
