This hadith is everywhere when we talk about hair being awrah. I think kena hati-hati sikit in quoting the hadith.. As far as I know, this hadith tak exist in Bukhari and Muslim. If I am not mistaken, it is nowhere within the Sahih Sittah, but rather in Mustadrak.
Unless I am wrong and you can prove it by giving the number of hadith from where you find it in Bukhari in Muslim. You give me the number, I'll check it out.

I think hadith mu'tajirat about the Ansar women tu is better to be quoted. It directly menafsirkan ayat An-Nur 31 tu.

Ayesha said: "By Allah, I never saw any women better than the women of the Ansar (i.e. the women of Madina) or stronger in their confirmation of Allah's Book! When Sura al-Nur was revealed -- "and to draw their 'khumur' over their bosoms" (24:31) -- their men went back to them reciting to them what Allah had revealed to them, each man reciting it to his wife, daughter, sister, and relative. Not one woman among them remained except she got up on the spot, tore up her waist-wrap and covered herself from head-to-toe (i`jtajarat) with it. They prayed the very next dawn prayer covered from head to toe (mu`tajirat
)" (Sunan Abu Dawud)

Terlepas pandang pulak yg ni... ada satu hadith yang saya jumpa dari Sunan Abu Dawud, bunyinya gini :

Narrated Anas bin Malik :
The Prophet brought Fatimah a slave which he donated to her. Fatimah wore a garment which, when she covered her head, did not reach her feet, and when she covered her feet by it, that garment did not reach her head. When the Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) saw her struggle, he said: There is no harm to you: Here is only your father and slave (Sunan Abu Dawud, Libas No 4094)

I think from here we can see Fatimah really tried to cover her head and her feet.

antik... In lupa antara qaul mazhab hanafi atau hambali yg tidak mewajibkan kaki ditutup.... maksudnya ia tidak memberatkan.....

yup.. Hanafi yg tak mewajibkan tu... But actually in Hanafi tu sendiri ada 3 opinion yg berlainan between the scholars...

First opinion is sama macam other mazhab, i.e kaki itu awrah.

Second opinion pulak, kaki bukan awrah. Antara factors kenapa Hanafi tak include kaki as aurat sebab Hanafi consider kaki as anggota bekerja yg mungkin menimbulkan kesukaran sekiranya ditutup sepenuhnya, mereka consider ianya termasuk dalam "man zahara minha" yg disebutkan dalam An-Nur 31.

Third opinion pulak, kaki is an awrah outside solat, tapi bukan awrah dalam solat. Yg opinion satu ni, some Hanbali pun agree with it.

Islam bermula dari tanah Arab..cara hidup Islam ada di situ dijalankan turun-temurun..lihat shj wanita Islam arab berpakaian..semuanya(kecuali yg jahil) menutup rambut...apa yg nak dipertikaikan lagi..??

The curiosity is something healthy. The habit to just "follow" what other people is doing from one generation to another is the one we should worry about. When there's questions, we will be forced to dig back on the hujjah by prominent scholars and Imams of Mazahib. It drags us closer to the source itself, i.e Qur'an and Sunnah.

Kalau dah ada perawi hadis..maka hadis tu tak dhaif, kan?

alah....pasal rambut ni mmg dah jadi mcm perkara biasa, sebab mereka nk ikut kata nafsu, dan buka kata hati.......

kalau bukan aurah yg penting, takkanlah baginda rasul sampai keluarkan hadis sebegitu....pedih pula azab yg tak tutup aurat rambut tu........

tepuk dada, tanya iman jer...
