Tayangan Unggul kini cuma menanti diberikan tarikh tayangan untuk filem muzikalnya bertajuk Hoore ! Hoore!.

Dari judulnya saja mungkin ramai dapat meneka ia ada kena mengena dengan penghibur terulung Sudirman Haji Arshad.

Tepat !

Filem ini adalah tribute buat allahyarham Sudirman.

Pengarahnya Saw Teong Hin mendapat ilham membuat filem ini dari filem Mama Mia! yang menggunakan lagu-lagu dari kumpulan Abba.

Pelakon utama Hoore! Hoore! ialah Akim, Kilafairy, Nur Farah Nazirah, Harun Salim Bachik, Aznil Hj Nawawi, Fauziah Nawi, Adibah Noor dan Shahronizam Nor.

Filem ini bukanlah mengisahkan kehidupan Sudirman tetapi jalan ceritnya diisi dan disulam dengan semangat yang selalu diterapkan oleh allahyarham dengan berlatar belakangkan lagu-lagu popularnya.

Filem Hoore Hoore mengisahkan seorang wanita bertubuh besar Nurul Aiman yang mempunyai tubuh yang agak gempal dan tidak terlalu cantik, bendul tapi berhati baik. Namun begitu, cirri-ciri kewanitaan tetap ada seperti gadis-gadis yang lain. Aiman mempunyai 2 orang sahabat baik Lana dan Azadan, mereka adalah rakan sekampung dan satu sekolah. Hubungan mereka erat dan mesra. Ibunya bernama Lia, dan ayahnya bernama Hairil. Nenek Aiman bernama Nenda Zaimah dan tinggal tinggal bersama mereka.

Di sekolah Aiman mempunyai seorang kawan bernama Johari, seorang yang tampan dan segak. Dalam diam Johari menyukai Aiman. Dalam pada itu, Lana dan seorang rakan sekolah yang lawa dan popular bernama Rita juga sangat meminati Johari. Rita seorang gadis yang ego dan sentiasa cari pasal dengan Aiman. Ayah Johari pula ialah seorang Ustaz iaitu Cikgu Murshid.

Pada masa yang sama, Aiman tergerak untuk menyertai pertandingan Ratu Impian yang di anjurkan oleh sebuah majalah. Rita juga menyertai pertandingan itu. Mengetahui yang Aiman juga menyertai pertandingan itu, Pelbagai rintangan yang dihadapi oleh Aiman bukan saja dari musuh ketatnya Rita tetapi masyarakat memandang serong akan niatnya itu. Filem ini akan menemui penonton pada 2012.

CINEMA: A treat for Sudirman fans

HOORE! Hoore! is a movie the whole family can enjoy. It’s reminiscent of High School Musical and Mamma Mia!, the kind of movie that goes against current local mainstream fare such as horror, gangsterism and slapstick humour, and therefore is a breath of fresh air for moviegoers.

I can’t remember the last time I watched a good family-oriented and wholesome film. Hoore! Hoore! is indeed a treat.
Directed by award-winning director Saw Teong Hin, the musical is billed as a tribute to the late entertainer extraordinaire Datuk Sudirman Arshad, one of the few Malaysian singers whose stage presence and showmanship transcended race boundaries. No doubt his ardent fans will be making a beeline for the cinema.
The movie features popular timeless hits by the legend including Bercanda Di Pasiran Pantai, Kasih, Merisik Khabar, Pelangi Petang, Anak Gembala, Balik Kampung, Salam Terakhir, Milik Siapakah Gadis Ini, Basikal Tua, One
Thousand Million Smiles and Ayah Dan Ibu. The tunes will surely bring back memories.
The songs may have been reworked and updated by renowned composer Audi Mok, but the original melodies remain intact and fans of Sudirman will not be disappointed.
The story is a charming romantic comedy which revolves around teenager Nurul Aiman (Nurfarah) who is determined to enter a beauty pageant, Ratu Idola, despite her chubby appearance. As a contestant, she gets the attention of the school head boy Johari (Akim) and draws heavy competition from popular girl in school, Rita (Kilafairy).
The cast of young talents, namely Nurfarah, Akim and Kilafairy, show serious potential. They deserve huge credit for pulling off showbiz’s triple threats — acting, singing and dancing — quite effortlessly.
Nurfarah is a natural, drawing the audience to her endearing character and it will not be a surprise if the industry takes notice of her talent.
Also a remarkable singer, the scene when she sings a medley of Anak Gembala and Terasing and hits the chorus with her husky vocals had the audience in the cinema responding with thunderous applause!
Akim plays the cute school jock Johari fairly well, while Kilafairy does not disappoint as Rita, who still manages to make her antagonist character likeable.
In addition to the drama that Nurul Aiman faces in school, the events that unfold at home are equally entertaining. This is where the more experienced cast of Harun Salim Bachik and Adibah Noor (as Nurul Aiman’s parents) and Fauziah Nawi (as the doting grandmother) prove their worth.

Fauziah’s capability in moving the audience to tears has been proven time and again, but here, she pulls off one comedic stunt after another coupled with her remarkable rendition of Salam Terakhir and Ayah dan Ibu.
On the other hand, after playing one comedic role too many over the years, Adibah takes on a serious character — Nurul Aiman’s strict and over-protective mother.
The idyllic setting of Janda Baik has never looked prettier and Saw has successfully given the small town a pleasant, rustic charm. My only complaint is the supposedly huge annual Ratu Idola beauty pageant that looks more like an amateur school event. It would also have been more pleasing if the choreography had been more synchronised.
