Samsung is now rumored to be releasing a Galaxy Tab 3 Plus model at this year's IFA which take place from 6 - 11 September 2013.

SamMobile is reporting that the company will introduce this tablet to better compete with Apple's iPad and the Sony Xperia Z tablet. Samsung used a similar strategy when the company launched the Galaxy Tab 7.7 Super AMOLED Plus two years ago. This device received praise from customers and was regarded as one of the best tablets in the market. With the Galaxy Tab 3, Samsung wants to repeat the formula by providing its customers with a bigger tablet sporting a high-end AMOLED display. It could either be 10 or 11 inches. The company is reportedly testing out different sizes at this time. The only other rumored spec for the device is the company's Exynos octa-core processor. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is expected to be released around the same time as the new tab,

It also stated that Samsung will roll out one more software update to the Galaxy Tab 2 which will allow it to run Android 4.2.2, JellyBean.

The original Galaxy Note debuted at IFA in 2011 so this information could be correct. No information as to the device's specifications was provided, though. Samsung is rumored to be having a pilot testing this week for the Galaxy Note 3, which will be attended by AT&T executives. A prototype model of the smartphone-tablet hybrid will be demonstrated in front of a select panel that will include the Chief Marketing Officer for the major U.S. carrier, KoreaTimes reported. Both companies will also work on creating new marketing strategies for the Note 3 during this testing. The publication also stated that the device will feature a 5.9-inch screen. Older rumors point to it coming with an LCD display.

The much rumoured Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 is finally a reality, when the Korean company announced it officially to the world press.

That bit in the rumours about it being possibly 8 inches for the display did not come true, as the new device now sports 7 inches instead. At least Samsung did not veer towards the Apple lane where the iPad mini is driving an 8-incher (well, 7.9 to be exact).

The only factor that this device emulates is the thinner bezel, so that the device is more compact and easier to hold in one hand(compare this with the Galaxy Tab 2, which has an equally wide bezel all round).

The Tab 3 is better powered with a 1.2GHz Dual Core processor,  for faster downloads and sharing.
The only bit of dissappointment is the internal memory of just 8 or 16, which you compensate with 64GB of expandable memory via microSD. As well as the small digit in the memory, the rear lens is just 3MP and the front 1.3MP. The GALAXY Tab 3 runs on Android 4.1 or Jelly Bean.

The WiFi only model will be available globally from May and 3G version from June, to be rolled out in stages according to country, pricings still not revealed as yet.

It’s also got narrower bezel, saving you a total of 0.44 inches (1.13cm) on the Y axis.
