Train tickets

Train tickets can be purchased from counters at train stations, ticket vending machines (with coins or ATM/Credit cards) and via a website. A standard return ticket is only valid on the same day. It is possible to buy travel passes for unlimited travel with trains, buses, trams and metros over a certain period.

You can travel on NS (the Dutch Railways) with either a single-use chipcard or an OV-chipkaart. Both are available from the yellow ticket machines with the blue overhead sign reading ‘traintickets’. OV-chipkaart cardholders can also use the ticket machines with the yellow overhead sign.

The ticket machines are located near the platforms at Schiphol Plaza. Tickets (for domestic and international travel) are also available from the Ticket- and Service desks, which are situated close to the red/white-checked cube at Schiphol Plaza. Staff at the desk will also be able to provide you with train departure information and general information on travelling by train in Holland.

You travel by checking in and out at the train station before and after your journey.

Tourists

There is no separate OV-chipkaart for tourists. As a tourist you will purchase an anonymous OV-chipkaart or a disposable OV-chipkaart. You will purchase either card at the counter for a public transport company, the device at the station, at a newsagent or at a supermarket.

Kalau you plan naik multiple train/regional bus time kat sana rasanya baru berbaloi beli OV card tu. Plan dulu Ite tu, landmark mana nak pergi , baru you choose nak beli OV tu. Kalau kat Amsterdam city jer, walkable unless you ada bebudak or warga tua yg ikut sama. Sewa basikal pun ok.

baru lima hari balik dr amsterdam ,memang cantek seni bena nya. asik aku menatap nya sampai nyaris nk kena langgar dgn basikal bila aku tersasar termasuk lane merah tu.hati hati ya bila kat sane ,elakkan lorong merah utk basikal . tunggang basikal laju giler siap pin pin sekali

Aku pon baru balik..sampai kl ahad lepas 8may..tetiba dah rindu netherlands lah aku duduk north holland. Peaceful. Dok kampung
