Arsenalyoungsters Benik Afobe and Luke Freeman have been leading the way forEngland at the UEFA Under-17 Championship in Germany having bothnotched 2 goals in 3 games as the young Lions qualify for the Eliteround for the prestigious tournament.
Freeman notched the only goal in England抯 opening 1-0 win againstPortugal, before he and Afobe joined forces to lead John Peacock抯 sideto a 2-1 win against Serbia. In the final group stage game, Afobe againgot on the scoresheet adding to an opener by Theo Walcott抯 cousinJacob in the comfortable 2-0 win versus Hungary.
The draw for the main tournament, which runs in Germany from 6-18May, will be made on Friday with the Elite section expected to drawscouting interest from around Europe. The likes of Wayne Rooney, CescF郻regas and Bojan Krkic have all lit up recent Under-17 finals walkingaway with winners medals and the prized golden player award.
