Jenis ni pun kene rebus mcm spgeti sbb ni jenis pasta kering tp masa yg diambil utk jd 'al dente' (to the tooh maksudnya) tu je berlainn sbb ketebalan dan kehalusan berbeza.

Masa nk rebus pasta - seeloknya masa air dah mendidih masukkan garam smpai air yg direbus tu terasa gramnya supaya pasta tu terasa masinnya skit apable dh msk.

* banyaknya perkataan ulang patutlh exam bm slalu x skor

Actually semer pasta kering kene rebus dulu kecuali lasagne ada jenis yg perlu direbus dulu atau ljenis etak je yg kering masa nak bakar. Kat kotak lasagne tu ade tulis jika perlu rebus dulu ataupun tak.

Soft tofu :  dijual dlm bentuk tube atau slab. Teksturnya halus almost like custard. Sesuai untuk sup atau inti .

Tip: buatkan lubang kat bekas plastik tofu dan terbalikkan untuk keluarkan tofu tu. Jaga2 sbb senang hancur.

Fu chuk : dried beancurd skin is layered to form fu chuck sticks.

             Lapisan kulit/selaput yang dihasilkan dlm proses penyejukan  air soya panas. Fu chuk perlu direndam di dalam air bgi melembutkannya sebelum ditambah ke dlm masakan. Juga boleh dimasak sebagai dessert.

deep fried chewy beancurd puffs are either stuffed with fish paste or meat. can be added to soup, mee currrry, or rojak.
Tahu bakar jge gne tau pok.

Fu Pei
These dried sheets come from the layer that forms on the surface of boiled soy bean milk.
Used for wrapping meat, seafood and vegetables.

Tempeh - made by fermenting the soya bean. Usuaaly sold wrapped with banana leaves or plastic cover.
Biasanye digoreng sblum dimasukkan kedlm masakn.

Egg tofu /tauhu telur - tekstur sama dgn silken tofu, warna kekunigan keranamengandungi telur. Biasanya digunakan dlm deep fried dgn makanan dlm claypot.

Fresh/Frozen/Dried Soy Beans

Fresh and frozen soyabeans( also called edamame) are available in supermarkets.

Dried soybeans on the (right) must be soaked overnight before use.

Soy sauce/Shotu/Tamari

Soy sauce - made from  fermented soy beans and a roasted grain.

Shoyu(centre)-combination of fermented soy beans and crushed wheat.

Tamari - fermented soy sauce

Soy drink.- also called soy milk.
Dairy substitute high n protein andcholestrol free.
Supermarket variety may be added wit calcium=enriched.
Some brands are loaded with sugar.
