Day 0 (29 June 2011)
• Depart from Kuala Lumpur at 2.40pm to Singapore for transit
• Depart from Singapore to Auckland at 7.50pm and arrive at 9.55am (30 June 2011)
Day 1 (30 June 2011)
• From Auckland to Christchurch via Air New Zealand at 1pm and will arrive at 2.20pm.
• Get the rented car from Omega Rental Car NZ (Family Wagon @ NZD42/day, Chain @ NZD25 and ski rack @ NZD25. Total NZD506 for 8 days)
• Check in at Christchurch Holiday Unit (NZD100 for 3pax)
• Get a rest and prepare for next activity
• Go for a sightseeing around Christchurch town and shopping some groceries at Pak ‘N’ Save
• Around 8pm, dinner and sleep
Day 2 (1 July 2011) – Christchurch – Ashburton – Fairlie – Lake Tekapo – Lake Pukaki
• Wake up around 6.30am, refresh, prepare breakfast and lunch together. (fried rice @ spaghetti @ sandwiches)
• Check out from holiday homes, start the journey to Lake Tekapo (225km @ 3hours 10mins)
• Along the journey will stop at Ashburton, Fairlie, Lake Tekapo and Lake Pukaki. Approximately, for every stop will take 30mins. (1.5hours).
• Arrive at Lake Tekapo around 1pm. Check in at YHA Lake Tekapo (Female @NZD30/Night, Male @Twins NZD76/Night).
• Lunch and pray in front of Lake Tekapo
• Around 3pm, if possible, will go for sightseeing at Lake Pukaki (63km @ 1hour)
• Dinner at YHA hostel and rest.
Day 3 (2 July 2011) – Lake Tekapo – Twizel – Omarama – Oomaru – Dunedin
• Wake up around 6.30am, refresh, prepare breakfast and lunch together (sardine + rice, sandwiches @ spaghetti)
• Check out from YHA hostel. Proceed the journey to Dunedin (288km @ 3hrs 40mins)
• Along the journey will stop at Twizel, Omarama, Oomaru. Approximately for every stop will take 15-30mins (1.5hrs)
• Arrive at Dunedin around 1pm. Check in at Chancarla Farm Park (Motel @ NZD115/night)
• After lunch and pray, if possible, try to catch Cadbury World Tour at 3pm. If not enjoying farm tour.
• After the tour, sightseeing around Dunedin, Otago University and buy some groceries at Pak ‘N’ Save.
• Next morning, after breakfast, get ready for farm tour and photo session at St. Kilda Beach.
Day 4 (3 July 2011) – Dunedin – Balchutha – Clinton – Gore – Riversdale – Te Anau
• After session with farm tour, at 10.30am, check out from farm house and proceed the journey to Te Anau (290km @ 4hrs)
• Along the journey will stop at Balchutha, Clinton, Gore, Riversdale. Approximately for every stop will take 15-30mins (1.5hrs). Stop at Gore for lunch and pray.
• Arrive at Te Anau at 4pm. Check in at Asure Amber Court Motel (1bedroom @ NZD140).
• Leisure time.
• Dinner and rest around 10pm. (If possible, prepare breakfast and lunch at night)
Day 5 (4 July 2011) – Te Anau – Milford Sound – Queenstown – Lake Wakatipu
• Wake up early, refresh and breakfast. Check out from motel and proceed the journey to Milford Sound (118km @ 1hr 25mins)
• Must arrive at Milford Sound Cruise at least 1hr earlier in order to catch Milford Sound Cruise (NZD108 @2hrs + vege lunch @ 12.44pm). Will finish around 3pm.
• Proceed the journey to Queenstown (286km @ 3hrs 30mins).
• Arrive probably at 6.30pm. Check in at Lake Edge in front of Lake Wakatipu (2bedrooms @ NZD135) will spend 2 nights here.
• Dinner maybe at Queenstown. Buy some groceries at Pak ‘N’ Save.
• Probably, can book for activities for the next morning.
• Rest.
Day 6 (5 July 2011) – Queenstown
• Wake up early, refresh and breakfast.
• Do activities as planned. Nzone Skydive (NZD429 + NZD219). Second is bungy jumping AJ Hackett (NZD260 for Nevis Bungy or NZD180 for Ledge Bungy). Third is hot air ballooning (NZD340 in Christchurch @ Up Up and Away).
• After lunch, probably can try Skyline Gondola Queenstown (Gondola+Luge @ NZD33). This park closed at 5pm during winter.
• The rest of the day will go for sightseeing the city. Maybe go around finding Ski Park @ i-Site.
• Dinner at home and have a good rest
Day 7 (6 July 2011) – Queenstown – Arrowtown – Cromwell – Cardona – Lake Wanaka – Haast – Fox Glacier – Franz Hosef
• Wake up early, refresh and prepare breakfast and lunch together.
• Check out and proceed the journey to Franz Josef Glacier Park (356km @ 4hrs 13 min).
• Before that, find Ski Park to play with the snow. Spend there about 1hr only.
• Around 10.30-11am, proceed to Puzzling World (70km @ 1hr, entrance fee @ NZD9). Spend there about 2hrs.
• Then, lunch and pray at Lake Wanaka for 1.5hrs. Along the journey will stop at Arrowtown, Cromwell, Cardona for approximately 15-30mins per stop before arriving at Lake Wanaka.
• Proceed the journey to Franz Josef (285km @ 3hrs 20mins). No stop for this journey.
• Arrive at Franz Josef approximately at 6.00pm. Check in at YHA Franz Josef (twin bed @ NZD67 and single room @ NZD47).
• Dinner and leisure time. (On the way to Franz Josef, try to find Lake Matheson aka Mirror Lake)
Day 8 (7 July 2011) – Franz Josef – Greymouth – Arthur Pass – Christchurch
• Wake up early, refresh, preparing breakfast and lunch together.
• Go for sightseeing around the area until 11am
• Proceed our journey to Christchurch (351km @ 3hrs 30mins). Along the journey, will stop at Arthur Pass, for lunch and pray for about 1.5hrs.
• Precede the journey, will arrive at Christchurch at 4pm.
• Check in at Christchurch Top 10 Holiday Park (2 bedrooms @ NZD120). Leisure time.
• Dinner and rest.
Day 9 (8 July 2011) – Christchurch – Auckland
• Wake up early, refresh and breakfast.
• To catch a flight to Auckland at 11am via Air New Zealand (NZD144 return).
• Check in at YHA Auckland International (Female @ NZD27, Male @NZD27). Lunch and pray.
• Leisure time or sightseeing in Auckland city and Sky Tower.
• Dinner outside maybe. Pack our things.
• Buy souvenirs during the journey.
• (In Auckland, we will use public transport)
Day 10 (9 July 2011) – Auckland – Singapore – Kuala Lumpur
• Wake up early than usual, refresh, breakfast.
• After breakfast, check out straight away go to airport. Depart from Auckland at 11.25am and will arrive at Singapore at 6pm for transit. Depart to KL at 7.40pm and safely arrive at KLIA at 8.40pm. |
