halo guys, aku baru je join pasal syok baca kisah2 gitaris tempatan. keep up the good work!! ok lah, aku pun nak cerita pasal gitaris hero aku. dari dulu aku memang minat shahrul ekamatra ni. album dia dari kumpulan ekamatra, sampai ke eka hingga ke album solo dia. dulu zaman sekolah2 mesti jam lagu2 dia, walaupun part goreng tu susah nak follow. aku main bass je, sampai sekarang pun still terror sikit kat bass.

kalau korang masih ingat, bila ekamatra pecah :cry:  nf: diorang buat group EKA. shahrul, nurul (adik dia tu) ngan pacai dan penyanyi dan drummer baru. album thrash sikit. tapi sedih, suara mamat tu hancus. recording sound pun kureng abis, tapi lagu2 dia ok.

dulu aku penah jam ngan kengkawan ngan Napi Spider sekali. napi ni budak kampung member baik aku, dekat le jugak ngan kampung aku. napi ni memang minat shahrul, sekali le minat malmsteen. si napi ni bole main lagu instrumental ekamatra satu tekanan irama tu kira terror jugak la.

berbalik pada shahrul, dia ni dulu memang penah sangkut kes d.. pasal tanam 'pokok' dlm umah. tu yg senyap kejap. pas tu bila kelua, dlm 3-4 tahun sudah dia main kelab mlm. aku baik le gak ngan dia jugak. penah le sekali tu cita2 aku dari dulu nak jam ngan dia atas pentas tercapai gak!! . dia ni kalau dengo memang main style malmsteen, tapi permainan dia memang bersih dan melodic. kalu tengok dia main live, sound dia memang tak lari dan kalau main lagu deep purple ka, lagu eric jonhson ka, memang sebijik. dia bagitau aku solo sentuhan kecundang tu dia main spontaneous sekali jalan. lagi satu kalau korang dengo lagu pusara di lebuh raya, solo dia sungguh classical mendayu dan mantap le kata orang tu. tapi betul jugak dia main untuk album, pengaruh malmsteen terlalu byk.

tak lama pas tu dia berenti main kelab, kata dia ada projek nak form balik ngan pacai. tapi tah apa jadi pas tu tak tau le. pas tu terus senyap kejap. tau2 dah join amuk. mcm tak kena je ngan amuk tu.. :stp:
aku pun memang minat kat pacai sekali. penah le jumpa dia waktu dia jumpa shahrul ni.
tapi yg paling best,aku ada tukar gitar ngan shahrul. dan sekarang aku selalu memekak kat umah main gitar fender strat tu.. hehehe  :nana:

sharul ni kira mmg aku respekla..

masa die buat album pertama ekamatra tu..umo die baru 17 tahun kan...

cuma bila aku dengo sound die...yg buat potong stim tu..sebijik cam malmsteen..

malmsteen lak aku tak minat..ekkekek..main laju gila je..kuang melodik..hehe

sharul ni mak die a.nandung kan..penyanyi tahun 70an tu..apsal tu die expose kat

muzik awak..tak salah dr pembcaan aku..die dah mula main gitar sejak umo 4

tahun

aku pun start main gitar umo aku 15 tahun

tak eran la masa umo die 17 tahun dah buat album....

sebenonya die mmg ada potensial beso..cuma market m'sia yg buat bakat die

terhalang..

aku tumpang simpatila..pasal tu aku tak serius main muzik..sebab memikirkan

muzik tak boleh gi mana kat m'sia ni..minat mmg minat gilalah..

berbalik pd sharul..sekrg die join amuk pulak ek..cam tak sesuwai je..genre

dowang kan berbeza..

sharul sesuai kalau main heavy metal...bukan cam muzik amuk yg hampir sama

ngan xpdc..

kalau sharul join wings atau search..oklah..

tp maybe die takde choice..sian die ek..

tp kalau die leh tuko sound ie..kan ok..dahlah pattern scale solo die sebijik

malmsteen , mode pun camtu gak..sound pun sebijik...baik aku dengo

malmsteen terus..

apa pun..kira dah abis la si sharul ni ek..pasal die takde band yg leh support

dan popularkan nama die balik

nape die tak buat reunion ngan rahmat ek..perform balik ekamatra..downag

pun dulu ada 1 album je kan..maybe ego masing2 terlampau menebal..dan

akhirnya..industri rock kat m'sia gak yg rugi..

Ever since the arrival of known guitarist such as Hillary (Search), Samad and Man KIdal (Lefthanded) and Addy (Cradle) in the music scene, most guitarists, who are considered new to the scene, tried their hand in playing in a much faster and 'fresher' way than those ahead of them.

Most guitarist find it hard to set their mark in the scene and to come up with quality compositions and creation. Especially in today's genre in which sounds are of high decible and instrumental makes it hard to gauge the ability of that certain guitarist. However, Malex, the south born guitarist, has the package that could be said is enough to bring back the years of those guitarist from the golden 80's rock era. His technique and versatility could well label him as one of the hottest new rock guitarist.

At the tender age of 17, Malex had come into the music scene and recorded an album with the group ACES, considered one of the best rock group at that time. ACES also featured former SWEET CHARITY bassist, Syed Hassan, who is among one of the best bass player still remembered up till this generation. The album for ACES became a great hit in Indonesia and reached the level of gold platinum there. ACES were invited by the Indonesian promoter to perform in the Indonesian tour in over 20 main locations in the whole Indonesia.

Although with the success that he has with ACES was a great one, Malex seemed less satisfied in his guitar works. And to counter his obsession in his guitar works, Malex decided to further techniques out of the country, which he did for 10 long years.

In the year 2000, Malex was one of those who performed in Rentak Asia, one of the biggest concert ever held in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, that wsa held for over 2 days. With over 100 artist and professional musicians, both local and international. In Rentak Asia was where Malex had his big opportunity playing among the best guitar 'master' and musicians such as Steve Vai, Eric Johnson, Joe Satriani, Jetrul Tull, and Grasshopper. Just to name a few.

Euphoria, Malex's long awaited album, combined classical elements into the sounds of old school rock. Fast paced and melodious, Malex could be clearly seen as having the influential classic Malmsteen works while with Rising Force. But what makes it so fascinating are the different techniques put into one, just like the classical tonation that shows most of his works.

For Euphoria, Malex had carefully selected his session musicians who are well experienced in their own way. Among them are Sham, experienced bass player with nearly 20 years playing clubs, both in Johor and Singapore. To get the feel in old school rock, Alif was chosen to lead in vocals. Alif has the credit in being in Bumiputra Rockers (BPR), one of the most popular and experienced rock band in Malaysia. Malex also chooses Ain, a talented drum sessionist from one of the underground legend group, Tandus, to get the progressive beat and tempo, something different from the likes of the old school rock.

Malex chose Batu Giling Production as his record label because of the freedom that it offers in song compositions, and that Batu Giling Production does not have the "killer song" syndrome.

Aku ni memang betul2 minat kat opie bloodshed.  memang dia ni ada sentuhan sendiri kalau main gitar, tak tiru sapa2 baik yg luar negara atau dlm negara... setau aku, OPIE ni banyak solo lagu2 yg penah popular ooo... memang dia ni bagus.. the best zaman era 80s, 90s .. aku rasa lebih dari 20 lagu2 top  dia dah session.. gua tabik sama dia....OPIE BLOODSHED the Best guitarist!! ....bluemenx
