Well, pada sesapa tak tahan menunggu, album dah ada leak.........anyway...this one...- kene beli ori.
 they're back, album ini personally, the best selepas black album.
Album ini patut ditukar nama dari death magnetic kepada "We're Sorry Kirk!!!" hehehhehehh....
After listen - agreed with this review...........definitely will buy this album...
1. That Was Just Your Life (7:08) - starts with heartbeat, dark sidestyle…sweet beginning, slow then it kicks you in the face, great introto the album…fast as # main riff...james sounds amazing…lars is onpoint...holy ***** kirks solo wails, consider face melted...the outrogallops ****** rule…wow…what a start…
2. The End of the Line(7:51) – Riff from the first new song from 06…nice transition…again,heavy and fast…james has that Justicey growl going…again Lars soundsawesome and on point…wow, halfway point has sick riffage, sounds likeMaiden…HOLY ***** Kirk is disgusting!!!! This solo melts face furtherand there’s eight songs left…change of pace at the 5:50 mark to cleanguitars…picks up again with sick riff and james yelling, awesome…
3.Broken, Beat & Scarred (6:25) – Slower, groovier riffs…wow, gallopriff rocks…still heavy as #…everything is just musically so muchbetter and polished than ANYTHING on St. Anger…so many transitions inall three songs thus far, changes pace a lot…Kirk again, wow…
4.The Day That Never Comes (7:55) – First single, I already consider thisa Metallica classic…slow for first half of song, amazing intro to cleanguitar, lyrics are sweet…James screams THIS I SWEAR five times, thensong kicks you in the throat with sick riffage (riff at 5:20 m-m-makesm-m-me h-h-h-happy, as Simple Jack would say), and another disgustingsolo from Mr. Hammett…not tired of it after listening to it 50+ timesin a little over a week…nuff said…
5. All Nightmare Long (7:57)– Alright before I even listen to it, this is already being regarded aCLASSIC song on the Metallica forums (this and The Judas Kiss), so myexpectations are high…holy crap sickintro…wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, thatis one of the faster riffs I’ve ever heard them play…instant headbanging going on…***** this song on Guitar Hero, haha…omg, this isawesome, nice chorus…james again sounds incredible, singing his ass offthis record…wah-wah from Kirk, followed by another amazing solo, wowiewow wow, what the ***** did I just hear? That’s right, greatness…SECONDSOLO!!!...jesus tap dancing christ, my face officially looks like thedude from the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark…pause, you think song isover, nope, still a minute of ass kicking left…wow, I can’t stopsmiling, that was incredible…I pause once song is over to just take abreather, wow…
6. Cyanide (6:39) – This is another song theyhave already released, upon hearing it when they played it live atOzzfest in Dallas, I just knew they were back…and I loved this songimmediately, but I have to say, it’s in the bottom 2 of the album thusfar…which is crazy cuz this song rocks…the transition again is sweet,and Kirk is again amazing…Lars during the middle part isincredible…just realized I need a thesaurus desperately…love the bassbreaks…
7. Unforgiven III (7:46) – song has intrigued everyonewith the title…holy # is that piano in the beginning? And violins?And horns? S&M influence for the first minute, then clean guitarenters…groovy bass line…nice…Load-ish riff (not a bad thing)…slowersong for first half, not bad, not as epic as other songs on album,let’s see if it picks up…on cue, picking up at 5:27 mark, still some ofthe violins in the background…solo time, and wow again, signature wahwah solo for the second half of it…I need to listen to lyrics of thisone, they sound sweet…
8. The Judas Kiss (8:00) – From the startit kicked me in the face after Unforgiven…gymbag riff!! (my ringtone),god it kicks ass…wow, insane riff changes…BOW DOWN, SELL YOUR SOUL TOME, I WILL SELL YOU FREE, PACIFY YOUR DEMONS!!!...sick…into abyss, youdon’t exist, cannot resist the judas kiss…been listening to the musicso much thought I’d throw in some kickass lyrics…change of pace,something epic this way comes, I can feel it…some more wah from Kirk,that means solo time…OMG…he’s off the charts on this album, jesuschrist…second solo, jesus more? Hell yes!!...wow, ***** this song onGuitar Hero too, hah…second solo rips like the first…and again Jaymz isawesome…
9. Suicide and Redemption (9:56) – ah, theinstrumental…first since To Live is To Die from …And Justice ForAll…starts low, and picks up volume, wow, just noticed its 10mins…music is a bunch of great metal riffs…slows at3:48…interesting…picks back up, driving bass line from Rob…wow solo asper usual…wait…that sounded like a James solo into a Kirk wahsolo…wow…even better!...not bad, no Orion though, but nothing ever willbe, heh…
10. My Apocalypse (5:01) – They released this a weekago, pure thrash…shortest song on album, but most consistant all theway through…sick solo as expected again…love the old school “GO!” fromJames…his vocals in this are awesome…SPIT IT OUT!!...so great…
Overallthis album is more than I ever dreamed I would hear on a Metallica newrelease. After learning of them when Load came out and thinking thatwas great (it is), then listening to the older stuff, never thought Iwould get anything close to the 80’s music. This is a great mixture.You can hear all the albums in this one which is awesome. Light yearsahead of St. Anger. If you read all this, thanks for letting me nerdout. This is the culmination of what feels like a wait that has lastedsince 1996. Well worth it. 10/10. 5 stars. A+. Buy it. Help Lars buyanother swimming pool…haha! The RollingStone review says it best, “Death Magnetic is the musical equivalent ofRussia's invasion of Georgia — a sudden act of aggression from asleeping giant.” I don’t know how they can play some of these songslive. I’ll see in January in DC that’s for sure. Well, I’m done, andgoing to listen again. |
