each bank ade monitoring tools yg akan monitor based on duit masuk n keluar. ade different2 scenario. contoh scenario dlm seminggu ade everyday duit masuk amount same or lebih kurang, so diorg akan trigger kt monitoring system. lepas tu analyst kena investigate. kalo suspicious dia akan inform to bnm as Suspicious Transaction Report. then BNM akan take over la. kalo mcm komen lain ckp everymonth transfer ke akaun spouse, kalo cth 500 setiap 25hb, detail sama, most likely xkan trigger system. tp kalo titibe korg transfer 500k out of the blue, yes system akan trigger n diorg kena investigate |

Bodohla bank ni. Ye paham jangan jadi keldai akaun, tapi takkanla sesama keluarga pun tak boleh nk t ...
Ada sesetengah menda yg trigger.. bkn semua..
EXAMPLES OF SUSPICIOUS TRANSACTIONS
Examples of suspicious transactions are listed below. The list is non exhaustive and only provides examples of ways in which money may be laundered through the capital market.
Unusual Transactions
Buying and selling of a security with no discernible purpose or in circumstances which appear unusual.
The intensity of transactions for an inactive trading account suddenly increases without plausible reason.
The entry of matching buys and sells in particular securities, creating an illusion of trading. Such trading does not result in a bona fide market position, and might provide ‘cover’ for a money launderer.
Unusually short period of holding securities.
Frequent selling of securities at significant losses.
Structuring transactions to evade substantial shareholding.
Simultaneous transfer of funds to a group of customers’ accounts from a third party
[Updated 21/4/2014]
Large Cash Transactions
Larger or unusual settlements of securities transactions in cash form.
Opening of trading accounts with large cash sum (above RM 50,000).
The crediting of a customer’s margin account using cash and by means of numerous credit slips by a customer such that the amount of each deposit is not substantial, but the total of which is substantial.
Depositing large cash amounts in the reporting institution’s multiple bank accounts in the same day
[Updated 21/4/2014]
Transactions Incompatible with Customer’s Financial Standing
A customer who suddenly starts making investments in large amounts when it is known to the Reporting Institution that the customer does not have the capacity to do so.
Transactions that cannot be matched with the investment and income levels of the customer.
Requests by customers for investment management services (either foreign currency or securities) where the source of the funds is unclear or not consistent with the customer’s apparent standing.
Irregular Account Movement
In a situation where multiple accounts are used to transfer funds between accounts by generating offsetting losses and profits in different accounts.
Abnormal settlement instructions including payment to apparently unconnected parties.
Non-resident account with very large movement with subsequent fund transfers to offshore financial centers.
A client who authorizes fund transfer from his account to another client’s account.
A client whose account indicates large or frequent wire transfer and sums are immediately withdrawn.
A client whose account shows active movement of funds with low level of trading transactions.
Suspicious Behaviour/Demeanour
A customer for whom verification of identity proves unusually difficult and who is reluctant to provide details.
A group of unconnected customers who share a common correspondence address.
A client who shows unusual concern for secrecy e.g. in the identify of beneficial owner of the account, his employment/business or assets or fails to indicate a legitimate source of funds.
Dealing with High Risk Jurisdictions
Investors based in countries where production of drugs or drug trafficking may be prevalent.
Funds credited into customer accounts from and to countries associated with
the production, processing or marketing of narcotics or other illegal drugs; or
other criminal conduct; or
wire transfer to or from a banking secrecy-haven country or country generally known for money laundering and terrorist financing.
Suspicious Behaviour/Demeanour by an Employees of the Reporting Institution
There may be circumstances where the money laundering may involve employees of Reporting Institution. Hence, if there is a change in the employees’ characteristics e.g. lavish lifestyles, unexpected increase in performance, etc. the Reporting Institution may want to monitor such situations.

Kalo jenis big amount and kerap keluar masuk ke apa.. ko bagitau je la bank tu ko nak bukak account jenis tu.. personal current account nama nya.. usually for premium customer...
Ko nak transfer juta2 pun buleh, ratus2 ribu pun boleh.. and dia kena isi borang, soal jawab... tunjuk income.. masa bukak akaun tu
Tp biasanya bukan kita la tanya bank.. bank yang tanya kita nak ke tidak..
Lagi satu account bisnes... boleh keluar masuk amount byk... |

Good example! Ada kes anak bagi bapak pakai account dia sebab bapak ada business travelling agencies kecik2 tapi customer dr luar. Duit2 masuk dr overseas. Anak then transfer to bapak. Kes mcm ni memang akan trigger Transaction Monitoring analyst kat bank2.
1. Rapid incoming funds from overseas
2. Funds transferred out immediately after funds received
3. Possible tax evasion
4. Kalau duit tu large amount, system akan trigger lak large amount, depending on the system punya parameter yg setiap bank masuk, contoh - incoming/outcoming fund >RM50k/txn or total >RM300K/day.
Impactnya, bank2 akan report to bnm. Pastu kena investigate pastu kena freeze account.
Kalau mcm kes transfer among family members utk belanja biasa2 biasanya tak trigger.

Kalau dia pergi bank rimau ngan sotong mmg leceh dia x kasi buka. Easier kalau dia call bank dulu tanya rhb ke affin ke.
The other way is to open joint bank acc. Tapi suami jgn menyibuk guna atau check la biar bini je guna. I pergi bank sotong nak buka joint acc dia x kasi sbb husband foreigner i pergi hsbc tak de masalah sbb dia kata asalkan bukti suami isteri. |

Aku syukur dah lah sbb berlambak akaun ada walaupun duitnya takde ahahaha..
Tapi bila baca org bank cakap surirumah takde keperluan bukak acc tu tu aku mcm kenapa kata takde keperluan. Takkan org tu x nak simpan duit. Zaman skang plak banyak benda dah cashless. Pi hosp nak bayar singgit lima hengget pun x blh cash dah so mana yg takde keperluan tu.
Bank bank pun mcm x updated banyak dah jabatan kat gov mcm hosp jpj cashless skang. |

Aik husband foreigner pun x bleh ke join acc ingat personal saving je. Tapi pengalaman aku uruskan bukak saving acc utk boss aku warga jepun ni bila dia dah start nak amek gaji dgn bank rimau mmg lama walaupun kampeni acc nama boss aku. Officer bgtau diaorg kena dptkan pengesahan dr Immigresen dulu. Kes boss aku Immi tak reply² so pending x boleh bukak bukak akaun dia lebih sebulan sampai BM diaorg sendiri kena guna budi bicara. Immi tak reply yg kelakar bila nak renew working permit kena tunjuk penggajian kat diaorg. |

Entahlah tinot. Iols mmg ada dah akaun bank dr belajar dulu start dgn bsn pastu memacamlah hahaha...
Tapi simpati dgr surirumah² susah nak bukak account bank sendiri dgn alasan takde keperluan tu.

kalau stakat transfer once in while anomaly amount takda masalah pon. ni yg bnm maksudkan suspcious aktiviti, active duit keluar masuk, sehari berpuluh2 transaction yg suspicous, every duit transfer tu ada trace tau, sistem tau je duit yg sama tu dah berapa kali ke sana ke sini ke mari. ermmm lagi pon acc saving mmg ada limit utk transfer / received. org yg byk cash selalu keluar masuk duit byk ni akan pakai current acc.
