I read the paper tinted with tears that ran dry...

On our final farewell....

Overflowing griefs of pain I know too well.....

As we prepare for our love funeral....

Flowers lose petal to the ground

Separation changes our smile to a frown.

To a love...

Happiness is no a longer a perfect turn to this union...

A symphony of candles that burned.....

In the blink of an eye...

To you. I had wanted to put a picture of the card but this place keep asking me for the 'url'. I have no idea how to get that so I guess I'm not putting a picture. I know you would have liked it. Nevertheless, I hope you will like this homemade poem to celebrate the valentine day. Well, I need lunch now, contrary to what I had said. Anyway, do enjoy the rest of the day....and be happy!

To a special friend…on occasion of this valentine day.


If anyone had predicted
That someday our destiny would meet
And it is you that I share my secret…

I would have laughed at the possibility so bleak
How can I even proceed?
To imagine such pleasure we create
For we have not yet met..

Yet your words hypnotized me so
From my head down to my toe
Each time I’m with you it is bliss
Each moment I would not want to miss

So my dear special friend
Let me make you understand…

That

I’m happy you came into my life
And occasionally in my dreams
And in my fantasy extreme….

I’m happy to let you know
You mean to me more that I mentioned so..

And

I asked you in return….

This one poem, the first ever from me was written just now...I hope TT like it....and don't laugh at the shallowness of this amateur poem..he..he..


You are like onions
You were the silhouette
in the mist..
You were nowhere near
to be seen or touched
but your presence
was like the warm air that
wrapped around me to sooth me
from the brazen cold wind
that swept the dried leaves
leaving the ground barren
with dirt strewn everywhere.
I was standing in the dark…
I wanted to reach out for you
But you were elusive
Knowing you were near
Yet so far..
You were like an onion
You were shrouded in layers of mystery
Layers that mystified me..
I wanted to peel you
Layers by layers…
To see inside you..
to know you
to venture into the unknown
where reality intertwines with fantasy
fantasy that has gone to unreachable depth
or reaching to the skies of
unreachable height
I haven’t the slightest clue
But I’m gonna do what I needed to do….

Thanks.....I don't think it is that good...however I will try to improve....
Actually long before this I bought a book "American Poetry of the Twentieth Century" trying to learn something about poems...but I did not finish reading it!
So this morning, I searched for the book and found it....and with me now, so I'm gonna learn the finer points...hope to improve every step of the way....

Cold dark night..

The night so lonely

Darkness stands before me

Like a blind alone in the dark alley

The midnight rain keeps every step slippery

And the soul slowly becomes empty

My heart thrown around carelessly..

Cold dark night

Has become an affair

Since you are nowhere in sight

Tonight, at least tonight you should be there.....

Pain is nowhere to hide

and pleasures start to collide

cold dark night stares in intimidation

I wonder what is there except termination

Dreams of love had left the station

Never to return

I have in me no imagination..

Or wanting love neither satisfaction

A Life laced with frustration..

In this cold dark night

Tell me that you will bring the light....

So I know I will be alright

The thing that inhibits emotion is watching movies with friends......but as soon as you are alone and in darkness, it beckons emotion like a beacon that attract sailors....
