Lee Jun Ki Decides To Be A Hero Again | 2008.12.16]
Lee Jun Ki has finally decided on his next work and would be acting as a hero-like character again in 2009. He is now actively preparing for his role.
According to Lee Jun Ki’s management today, he has decided after careful thought that he would take SBS drama War That Can’t Be Seen (temporary name). It was previously named as Strange Heroes by the media and talks about a man who possesses extraordinary talent and resorts to anything for success. But after the death of his lover, he lost his motivation to live and wallows in degeneration. He eventually wakes up from his sorrow and decides to help the poor, fighting for the weak in society. Lee Jun Ki who has previously acted as a bandit who helps the poor in the Joseon Dynasty as Iljimae will once again be acting as a hero who helps the weak in his new drama. Lee Jun Ki expressed, “There were numerous reports earlier about my next work which put me under a lot of stress. This drama was chosen after careful thought among the many scripts that I was given. I believe that the viewers will not be disappointed with the drama.” |

Lee Jun Ki Is Getting Set To Be A Hero! | 2008.12.16]
After all the questioning and complains about Lee Jun Ki’s new drama role the news finally came out! Jun Ki is set to have and hero role in a new drama called Unseen War (보이지 않는 전쟁).
In Unseen War Jun Ki plays a man fixated purely on success who loses a loved one, then decides to fight crime on behalf of the weak. Can’t wait for this one!! |

2008 SBS Drama Awards Daesang Nominees Revealed 2008.12.18]
The talk of the town had been whether Park Shin Yang who is involved in a pay dispute and antagonizing industry bigwigs, would be among the Daesang nominees in the 2008 SBS Drama Awards which was announced today
In a statement from SBS today, “The nominees for the different awards hinges greatly on the opinions from drama production companies. We can’t totally disregard tv ratings also but that is just one of the many criterias from which we pick the nominees. The Daesang will be picked from those who have acted in SBS dramas that has aired over the past year. The nominees was derived through 70% of votes from drama producers while the remaining 30% are from tv ratings, how much influence it had, its impact on society, the acting, etc. Viewers can express their opinion through the popularity poll.”
The Daesang will be contested by Song Yun Ah (On Air), Kim Ha Neul (On Air), Oh Hyun Kyung (First Wives Club), Moon Geun Young (Painter of the Wind) and Lee Jun Ki (Iljimae). Lee Jun Ki will also compete for the Best Actor Award with Kim Rae Won (Gourmet), Lee Bum Soo (On Air) and Park Shin Yang (Painter of the Wind). The Best Actress Award will be contested by the female nominees for Daesang. Awards ceremony goes live on 31st December. |
